收到學校的通告有得報 Cambridge Starters course, 請問有冇 U3 或畢業生家長可以分享, 這課程有用嗎? 學的內容是什麼? 與外面的 cambridge courses 有何分別? 可以報外面的 cambridge course 代替嗎? (因為我們的家離學校很遠, 星期六返去上課真有點費時...)

我都有報, 小女都讀L2, 我地住得遠, 星期六返都幾煩, 但我地為呢個COURSE先讀YORK, 因校長講到平均成績咁好, 一定有一套特別的方法既, 如果考得好就趕得切明年K3報心儀既小學啦, 老師話我個係細女, 所以明年考時未夠5歲, 要返大陸考, 唔知其他媽咪有否經驗分享下呢?

我個女今年升L2，因較早前放棄咗嗰個多元智能課程，此課程內包括staters，其實我選擇呢間學校都係因為有呢個課程讀，但因要返星期一至五時間實在太長﹗
請問你的小朋友今年讀緊L2？9月升L3？此課程淨係星期六上堂？時間？價錢如何？

我個女讀緊K2, 剛回大陸考左劍橋英, 之前在YORK讀左三期, 兩期是星期六,每期約十二堂, 每堂2個鐘, 每期約$3000幾, 最後考試前有一個應試班, 下午回校上的, 千多元左右

So the kid has to start learning from K1, then have exam about end of K2 (June?) and take exam. And in between K1 and K2, there will be三期, and you have mentioned 兩期是星期六, so how about the 3rd one(三期)? after school or also on Sat?

Also, as "最後考試前有一個應試班, 下午回校上的, 千多元左右", but my baby get p.m. offer for PN, so how can he attend that 應試班"

So, total is about $3000 x 3 phases + $1xxx = aprox. $11000 for whole course, am i right?

我個女k2插班, 所以只讀了一年, 劍橋兩期+應試前準備班, 所以以是三千幾+三千幾+千幾, 第一期好像是十月中至十二月, 第二期是一至三, 星期六早上9:30-11:45, 最後的應試班是下午四點幾, 應是放學後的時間. 香港考要夠5歲(7月考), 我個女是細女就要3月番大陸考,如果唔係就趕唔切報小學

oh, there is another Course called多元智能課程? which include Cambridge starters. So what is the difference, I mean what kind of extra courses in addition to Starters for this Course, and it requires "返星期一至五", really too long time wor, and my son is in p.m. session, how can he take this course? And how how much for this Course? Much more expensive than having Cambridge starters only? and do mammys think it is worth for paying more for this course?

Momo627, 多元智能課程由8/2011至6/2012, Mon to Fri, 1:30至4:30, 通告內容很豐富,除劍橋外﹑戶外觀摩﹑小一1面試培訓﹑繪畫手功﹑小食製作﹑普通話教唐詩﹑功課輔導等，至於你小朋友如果讀下午班，或者會改為上午此課程，詳情都係問吓學校好啲...............

thanks you so much Grace 1010, but that will for L2 students, right? cos my baby will be PN this Aug, but I want to know more about KG.

Oh, I originally thought some activities you have mentioned (like making piaza, going to supermaket, that I saw in movie in Principal's seminar) is originally included in the original scope of curriculum. If these are extra outside their scope, I do think the Principal shall draw parents attention, as she use this point to tell parents how difference/good their school are compared with other schools.....but no mentioning of extra course fee..so I think it is part of the methodology the teachers will use in teaching students, to learn from their daily life, instead of from the books only.

So, if join this course, need to pay extra $3800 in addition to monthly school fee, quite expensive a mth, don't know it worths or not.

I've asked the teacher and she said they'll have a separate Cambridge course later (starting L2).

I didn't join the 多元智能課程 as my child still need his afternoon nap.

即使個半鐘我都覺唔夠休息時間, 而且佢地只係坐係到伏底瞓, 個人暫時未能接受, 不喜勿插!

Cambridge course 係另外俾錢報架, 所以應該兩個 streams 既同學都可以報得.

小兒剛K3畢業，其實從k2開始，在正常上課時間外（am/pm),學校會額外有令一個半day的課程供你報讀，叫＂多元智能班＂，以結合不同的興趣班一身，如果你有參加，因已include 劍橋英文，不用再join星期六那個，其實平時密集式上好過一星期才上一堂，較有記憶，我見近考試的時間，小朋友日曰也有劍橋工作紙帶回家。
回大睦考試，最主要是因小朋友未夠年齡，所以要回大睦考，學校會arrange 在k2下學期三月尾回睦考，成績要等約3個月即約6月尾到7月頭，注意有部分直資小學會7月多8月便要入紙，所以回大睦考便可趕上有成績交表。
大仔當然可自行到英國文化協會報考，香港考一個月有成績，不過個人覺得跟學校較好，小朋友有認識的同學做伴，自己考試便要面對全部不認識的人，會影響表現，報咗考試亦要夠人才開得成。
