May I know whether St.Margaret Co-ed in Sham Shui Po is good? How does it compare with other schools e.g. DGS, SPCC, SFA, GH? Thanks.

對於一些不喜歡太傳統、太催谷的學校的家長，St. Margaret's Co-ed 是一個不錯的選擇；但其學術表現當然無法跟 DGS, SPCC, SFA, GH 這些歷史悠久的 Band 1頭名校相比。

選擇CKY的家長必然認同學校採用的 IB 課程(著重培養學生的國際視野、思維和分析能力，透過探究式學習建構知識，培養自學的態度和能力)，教授IB 課程需要很多人力物力，所以學費自然會高。

St Margaret's 是一條龍中小學，學校採用新高中課程，學生不需参加小五、小六呈分試，學校比較多NET，約20%學生是外籍學生，學校未有公開試成績可作参考(第一屆小一生現完成中一，即要多等五年才有成績)，校舍較細(中小學共同)，每年學費約HKD30,000。

TSL 只有小學，沒有中學，學生要參加小五、小六呈分試，約20%學生是外籍學生(please correct me if I am wrong)，校舍較大(有泳池)，每年學費約HKD20,000。

2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Chinese Session 以粵語進行)

Really waste time to attend the briefing session. Don't like those school who just only know how to "step down" other schools in order to raise its own profile by saying that other school teachers don't know how to teach English.

Also, wasting time to let the principle Lee to teach us English an hr. Help! Please teach the kid not teaching us.

感覺佢好白鴿眼, 話人地d學校點點點, 但佢自己偏偏係喇沙舊生
佢嘲笑人o個d態度真係..........
成個簡介會都只係講英文幾重要, 咁其他野呢?
唔知真係以為其他學校唔識教英文囉......

佢又話無其他學校有粵語同英語的簡介會, 只有佢地學校先有, 梗係唔係啦.

比較有用d既資料係from個鬼佬, 成績都幾顯著, 不過淨係得英文同有關language既資料lor, 咁其它呢??

但我鍾意佢小班教學, 不過每級得兩班咋wor, 主考英文, 變相要入都唔易

I also attended the Eng session yesterday.
One word to describe this - RIDICULOUS!

He said SMC is good at English, but I can't see any smart students speaking fluent English yesterday (I mean those helping yesterday at school).

Last time when I attended TSL one, the primary kids' English speaking are excellent and fluent!

I have better impression of TSL than SMC, to be honest.

The other thing is the vice-president keeps on persuading me to apply first yesterday. I said I don't have photos, certs, portfolio with me yesterday. She said is NOT a problem, everything can be submitted during interview.

They take 80 students (2 classes) and the Principal said the successful rate is like 1:15, so that means the no. of application is only 1200.

TSL around 3000 +, KTS 2000 +, APS 2000+, DGJS 2000+ . This school just 1200. There must be a reason behind ! I think I will apply for my daughter as interview rehearsal but I will not accept the offer (if any) as I wanna to continue with the central allotment process!

i didn't attend the briefing session. Can anyone compare this school w GT? SMC stands out more in Eng but if talking about a balance curriculum,
is it really weak?

It's first time in my life to hear a presentation from a headmistress regarding how to arrive to her school by MTR and buses. There are 2 pages of presentation on this and she goes through the MTR lines and the buses numbers one-by-one in details. Sounds really weird!

The gentleman (sort of School Committee member) gives a very bad presentation as well. He even dares to say students studying in International School are ILL-TEMPERED and LAZY. He has these words in the powerpoint. How can he use such negative words in the presentation !?
