還有St. Paul Convent (Causeway Bay), St. Stephen's College (Stanley), St. Paul's College.
這些都是校風好，老牌名校。

Are you looking for a school in Kowloon side? Which district you prefer? In fact, most of the band 1 DSS are the top ones....

How about Ying Wah (in Sham Shui Po)? It's a good DSS too.

I went to the open day cum briefing of NPL and UCC (KE) last year. Both are good DSS indeed but I'd prefer NPL due to (i) school teachers' comments; (ii) school location and (iii) religious factor (we're not Christians). So you can attend the briefing this year and make your own judgement.

我女兒今年讀保良局顏寶鈴書院中一。之前亦考獲:聖瑪加利男女英文中學、培僑書院(沙田)及體藝學位。

但鑒於下列原因，我們最後選了保良局顏寶鈴書院：
1.地點近我家
2.學校無宗教
3.校舍大，有室內泳池(我女兒至愛)及Gym room；聖瑪加利男女英文中學要中小學共分校舍
4.保良局擁有豐富辦學經驗，資源充足
5.多元化課外活動-我個人不喜歡女兒死讀書
6.女兒空手道師傅推薦，她的兒子今年在顏寶鈴讀中七，為人有禮貌

這純粹個人感受與人分享而已。

以我所知佢係Band 1.
中文科係用普通話教。其他科(除中史)全部用英文教。
校內所有人之間(老師與同學/同學與同學)必須用英文交談。一星期內其中一日則必需用普通話談話。
我覺得Band2生都可以試，冇謂抹煞個機會。
學校在十一月十四日會有Form One Admission Seminar，你可以到時去聽吓知多d，記得要預早book位。

家長話好, 因佢地buy佢係一間非常活動教學(類似國際學校).家長話唔好, 因又有家長唔buy 太自由加本地公開成績又唔夠好.不過第一年考, 係需要少少時間.

Add one more point, we go for DSS or other type of schools, the ultimate point is admistted into university in HK.

Esp only 18% can get into university in HK, think beyond secondaray school.

I am also interested in 匯基書院 and 保良局羅顏寶鈴書院. Could someone tell me about the learning atmosphere? I have studied the information on their websites. Their facilitates are great but this is not my biggest concern. Software is much more important to my kids. Most of their teachers are hong kong people with only a few native english teachers. Could parent whose kid is currently student in either of the above school give me their comments on teachers in these schools. Are they caring? Is the schoo principal a caring person? Do they have good teamwork? How do they handle kids with marginal learning difficulties? What happen to students who breaks the school rules? Also, I am very much concern with the liberal studies subject. It is a very challenging subject to both teachers and students. It is a subject which requires a lot of thinking, analysis and interpretation. Both students and teachers have to be able to communicate their thoughts and ideas freely in order to be successful. I would like to know if the students in these two schools have good command of english to be able to study this subject using english. I would also like to find out if the teachers are well qualified not only to teach the subject knowledge, but to inspire the kids.... I know those are tough questions, but I would appreciate if someone can shed some light on these matters.
