my daughter starts her first piano lesson today and she enjoys it very very much.

I will wait and see after 2 months whether she still likes to learn piano, then I will buy a piano.

I am totally not familiar with piano. I see Yamaha in Tom Lee and Kawai and Toyama in Parsons.

How would you rank these 3 brands in general?

我成日覺得YAMAHA VS KAWAI就好似男人玩相機, NIKON VS CANON咁

, 永遠無絕對答案究竟邊隻好, 真係各有捧場客(MAINLY手感分別)
不過2隻都係大牌子, 2手市場有價有市, 呢樣就可以好放心, 唔一定係日本做, 呢樣要留心
我自己就買YAMAHA, 2手U3(初學多數用U1, U3就貴D靚聲D, U5就更要求高D), 因為果時琴老師話好質數既2手U3難求(U1就易搵), 難得遇到就叫我唸下想唔想要, 結果買左, 都成3萬, 用左好幾年了
(2手琴唔知訂唔好亂買, 最好搵琴老師幫你揀, 雖然佢地會賺佣, 但琴行一般唔敢呃琴老師因為佢地有客源)

Oh I see, thanks. I am fans of Canon, but still like Nikon.

So for Yamaha, U1 is the cheapest model? Then U2? U3 and so forth?

Wow, a 2nd hand one (U3) costs 30K, that's very expensive. My budget is just around 20K for a new one, coz my daughter is only 5 years' old and not sure whether she really likes to learn piano.

My daughter has attended classes at Parsons before but I found the teachers there not too professional and the staffs at the counter very very rude! So I don't wanna to buy piano from them. Yesterday my daughter started her first 1 to 1 piano lesson at Tom Lee and she enjoys it very much. I think most likely I will go for Yamaha.

I went to Tom Lee and Parsons today. Wow, the made in Japan ones are really expensive.

Yamaha U1 $49K
Kawai K3 $32K
Kawai K5 $39K

Is Kawai K series really made in Japan (as I never trust P's sales)?

For Yamaha, there are 2 other series which are made in China and Indonesia, and the prices are around 20-27K. Are they reliable?

i m a piano teacher, n i got a second hand KAWAI K8 , around $40k

but for beginner, kawai k5 is enough for learning to grade 8.
i love kawai rather than yamaha, it is better of practice fingering. the touching of yamaha are more lightly than kawai (as my opinion). But actually, yamaha sound is attractive

u can consider kawai k5 or yamaha u3

個人意見(作為一個普通家長)
唔好規限自己一定要俾得貴貴去堅持買個日本做既琴, 按budget啦, 邊個唔知一手日本琴好wor, 不過真係好大投資
你女女只係學左2個月, 唔算好長時間, meanwhile你可以租返屋企彈住先, 睇定d再買部貴野(我係女女準備考2級時正式換琴的, 之前果部係老爺級英雄牌), or而家睇budget買部岩心水又有市場價值的, 一部鋼琴如果保養得好, 20年, 30年琴齡一樣有人買, 好多家長都會考慮買部平平地既俾初學小朋友架!

1. 初學者特別係上左幾堂, 建議買2手既普通幾k鋼琴就可以, 因為小朋友初學(未知佢係咪3分鐘熱度之前)並未去到要著重音色(小朋友根本唔識分, perfect pitch例外), 直到考左試(gr.2/3左右)可以買部yamaha U3或者Kawai K6或K8到8級(個人唔鍾意K7), 8級之後真係有心機學落去再換琴。

2. 如果小朋友擁有perfect pitch同時一開始就好有心學, 不妨買部靚d。

3. 依家既直身琴要真正made in japan? 我相信好難有。

我係以一個鋼琴老師同時亦以家長心態分享下意見。

你留意下, 看下有無二手(用家自讓)的普通幾k 野既琴, 比個女學住先啦

我未換琴前, 都係朋友讓比我, 成20幾年的kawai, 到我個女依家grade 5, 佢自己都有要求, 我先換, 雖然都係2手, 但就換左部得幾年貨仔的歐州琴law

我以用家的家長心態同你講, 你就算依家買部yamaha 的一手大陸/印尼做既琴比個女都好, 到時個女再學上去, 有返甘上下grading, 佢自己對部琴的音色+手感都有要求, 正如charlotte_mom 所講, nikon 同canon 既分別

我自己試過u1, u3, k5, 我自己就鍾意u3 既手感, k5, both 我個女同我都覺得超吾掂

但最後呀女係另類一族, canon 同nikon 都吾鍾意,揀左隻係香港無乜試場的歐州琴

如果係我, 為左第時呀女換琴時(對琴有要求時想換)的second hand market 而想, 就一定吾會買雜牌+大陸做既琴, 因為真係難re-sell

我部朋友賣比我既second hand 20幾年的kawai, 我最後都可以re-sell 返比我朋友, 佢個女初學

yamah LU, YE系列都係大陸/東南亞裝0既琴,個人對呢d系列感覺都係麻麻,因為聲音比較響/薄,手感都比較輕...而且好多時用得個三兩年d聲就會好拆咁...

歐州琴都吾平
有人話, 香港天氣吾多適合用歐州琴(難打理), 但我自己都係買左歐州琴, 暫時吾覺我有乜野特別難打理
我都係得閒, 開下抽濕機, 順便抽下衫i(落雨天)
琴箱今邊放d 臭丸同抽濕大笨象...............

我見bk 都有時有人放二手琴出黎(自讓)
或者叫琴老師問下有無學生會換琴(我都係用呢個方法)
琴行, 我同琴老師去看過, 佢話可能係佢要求高, 佢話甘既價錢, 吾需要買個甘既價錢既琴
