請問有無小朋友學緊 "圓號 " 呀, 難學嗎 ?

我女女都被編學圓號, 根據我表弟講(佢係宣道舊生), 女仔好難吹得起圓號, 同埋佢無識一個宣道學生吹得好囉, 我聽完都有d擔心呀, 但亦覺得應該尊重校長同老師既決定

I do not quite agree with that. Many schools look for girls learning horn because it is not common. If u can handle it, it is not competative. That means it is better chance for u to choose a good secondary school. I see some students with very good horn achievement. A few years ago, there was a lower form APS student doing solo in Hui Chi On's concert. He is very successful and not only in HK. He has many many awards locally and overseas. He is only one of the representative but I also see some older students at DBS doing excellent in Horn and academically.

School music instructors had interview with all students to access their figure, mouth shapes, fingers sizes etc to determine their instruments. So if she is chosen to do that, try to listen to the sound and learn more about this instrument. If you and your daughter can accept, I think it is good to stick to their decision. It is very good if your daughter can handle this instrument although it's a little big for her at this moment. It is difficult to start with most of the instruments (not only horn) at this age. But give them some time, hopefully, she will make it soon and you all will appreciate horn a lot than you think now!

My daughter has learning french horn since P.1(also selected by teachers) in APSKT. She will be in P.5 in Sept 2010.
Since now, as far as I know, there are only 2 girls (one in P.3 and one is my daughter) learning horn now.  My daughter gets much satisfactions on playing it as she performed better than other boys  which could be affected from the ABRSM and Music Festival result.
Don't be afraid, school helpers are super willing to  handle for the delivery of such heavy instrument. Did the headmaster promised to you in the  meeting on 24-07-2010?  Moreover, your child can use the school lift to transport if nobody can help.  If you child takes school bus, the bus helper will deliver the horn.  Don't worry!
It is better to learn in school with the specified teacher as they well experienced enough to teach your child the breathing method and some other techniques.
Girls are highly recommended to learn this instrument, I saw the DGS and DBS concert on 3-8-2010, no horn  could be seen in the DGS orchestra.  I wonder if there is no horn player in DGS?

我問過tom lee, 佢地無學校指定果隻圓號賣, 只有柏斯(黃埔果間)先有, 要訂貨呀

你睇下學校比你果張買樂器特價果張通告, 個圓號款日最後有寫住"柏斯xxx", 意思即係只係柏斯先有得賣<--係通利果個人話我知咖

我都唔知呀, 不過因為我完全唔識圓號依樣野, 怕買左番黎唔岩, 所以都係跟番學校要求去柏斯買啦, 我諗住依一兩個weekend去買囉

Pls buy horn according to APS's instruction, the exact  model is recommended by teacher, don't buy other model.  Horn teachers and piano centre staff are very friend enough. So,teachers are well known and they had prior stock checkings that which piano centre has got / imported such models. Buy at that exact piano centre,  not necessary to look for it at other piano company.
This is my experience!  Quick and order such horn! Limited stock only! Or you need to wait next shipment!

The one that they recommended is a single horn which can be used until ABRSM level 5, for ABRSM level 7 you must buy a double horn(HK$28,000). I brought the double horn at this Jan 2010.  It can be used until diploma level.

Hey!  I want to tell you this is my first time to open the babykingdom account, as I want you know more about the wonderful instrument-HORN.  I object to somebody said that girls were poor to play horn in APSKT.  I think my daughter is a successful case!  The other P.3 girl is a good exercise, too!

I am willing to share with you all my experience.
Your daugters will worth so much if plays horn!

thank you very much, i am just worrying about if my little girl can play the horn fluently as my cousin told me that it is not easy for a girl to play horn

真係唔該晒你呀, 咁其實係咪真係好難吹得好呢, 好多人話, 是好難吹得好呀, 叫我唔好揀呢

呢個 model 可以學到 5 級, 請問大約要學到幾時到要轉另一 model 既 Horn 呢
