Hi, I am also considering to send my daughter to study the high school (Yr 10) in Australia. The first choice is in Melbourne and the second choice is in Perth. You know, my daughter is a open-mind and optimistic girl. She told us that she wants to improve her english and knowing the different culture. Therefore, we may consider to send her to Perth. But we don't know that does it a good choice to her or any other suggestions can be shared? Many thanks!!!!

我女都係去perth呀......我朋友係果度讀完書返黎...都話幾靜下,可以專心讀書......不過yr 10黎講會點我又唔知,我女大d架...

Thanks for your reply. As informed by teh agent that we can apply the government school in either Victoria Government Schools (Melbourne) or ( Western Australia Governemnt school ( Perth). But both of them should be homestay only. My daughter perfers to study in Perth. Therefore, we will select 3 of them for application through the agent's process. So.. may I ask that does the governemnt school in Perth is OK? The people is Perth is nice for the foreigners. You know, I really hope that my daughter can have a good environment to study and the homestay family can tare care her in Perth.

Hi Sindy, I remember your elder daughter is also 97 kid. Why start in oct? isn't it the last team? what year is your daugther study?My daugther will be studying in Melb. 2012 for yr 9. & living in the boarding school.

我女過左十八歲呀,所以唔駛搵homestay,同埋我有fd既fd係果邊,book左間房比佢啦

去澳洲呢個係大女,去讀foundation.....細女(97)無咁好彩呀,仲要係香港涯呀

As I remember that the agent told that we need to open a local bank account in Australia in order to TT the tuition to school and your duaghter can take the pocket money by ATM machine or by school (i.e. special arrangement). But you know, the homestay family is assigned by the school. So, I guess that it will be paid by the school first and then TT from the bank account. anyway, I will check it out later. In this process, you can TT the AUG. money from Hong Kong bank to Australia bank . Now, I am checking which Hong Kong local bank has associated with Australia bank. So that I can reduce the admin. charge of each TT transaction. Any suggestions of banks ??? Someone said that HSBC has the branch in Australia but not many there either in Melbourne or Perth. Thanks!

Forget to mention that I decide to send my daughter to attend the semester in Jan 2011 if the application is fine in the following month. As the agent said that once we select the right place and the schools. Then, they will proceed the application process in Sept which will not be caused any delay. Therefore, I have already informed my daughter's school to cancel the promotion of S4 and gather all the require information for application.
Furthermore, I am decide to apply some english course for her before going to Australia. Any comments on this course in Hong Kong? I hope that those englisg course can be linked with the english requirement of Australia school. Thanks!

u may try Australia International School for their english course every saturday morning. Their new term start end of oct for new applicate.

my son will start the Eng course in Sep. but my agent suggest me not to cancel S4 with school till the students is approved. where will yr daughter go? most schools hv its linked Eng. center and they would decide how long should yr daughter studied the Eng course before starting school term, they would not accept you to start the term if the Eng. marks could not catch level by school. my son has marks from AEAS and preferred to have 10weeks Eng course before starting school term in Jan/11, so you better check clearly with yr agent otherwise yr daughter would waste time to wait starting school term at HK.

You know, I have no choice. The school requsted me to submit the cancellation letter due to I request them to provide me the reference letter.

It is because if we apply the private school, we need to provide the AEAS result as well as the reference letter for application. That's why I need to inform the school.

my son provide AEAS result to the applying school which also accepts. I already inform my son's present school whom will leave in end this month and his school accepts also.
it might depend on policy of each school's then your daughter cannot go to school now and wait result of new apply school?

I think that it depends on the policy.

Yes! my daughter is staying at home for the results. The agent told me that it will be collected within two weeks.

I just got the confirmation from Victoria Government School that they offer a place for my daughter. My daughter will join the first term of Yr 10 on 1 Feb, 2011. Therefore, I will start to prepare the stuffs for her. You know, the school will select a suitable homestay for my daughter. So, may need to wait for the details in couple weeks before the ist day of school.

already booked QANTAS with around $8300, I've checked on web-site, the fare to Adelaide should be around $22000 something not cheap as the advertisement.

Hi Lisa, finally we got 2 offers from the Victoria Government School. I have picked one which has the hospitality facilities for my daughter. You know, my daughter wants to study the degree program of Hotel & Tourism. Therefore, she likes this college very much! So.. I can release the pressure and start to prepare the stuffs for my duaghter to join the first term of Yr 10 on 1 Feb, 2011. Now, I am planning for some english courses for her before she travel to Australia. Any suggestions on the english program In Hong Kong? thanks!

why don't continue S4 at school till yr daughter departure? it would last few months to wait the school term staring on 1/2/2011. my son went to school from 1/9 till 15/9 at S4 study then take a week to prepare stuffs to ADL in tomorrow.
you may try Eng. course at British Council in these few months fr yr daughter.

anyway, 俾個政府網站你自己上去睇，有乜唔明可以問我，事先申明，我不是移民代理，只係之前幫朋友問過，所以知道d……
