I was asked to sign a slip declaring that I would like to wait for a seat in the waiting letter months ago. I know some parents received a waiting letter but were not asked to sign and return a slip. That was not a real wait list as far as I know. Hope this helps.

I actually got a call on 12 July and the reason they called wss because in the letter they sent on 9July, they had forgotten to put in the autopay form so they called to ask for my email and they emailed me the missing form. And since today is the last registration day for me and I didn't show up, I got a call like at around 7 telling me that my space will be given to other kid.

Yes.

I know someone who received a so-called wait list letter but her letter did not have a reply slip that needed to be tore out and returned.

The lady called me tonight and said she will call the other candidates on the wait list so if u do have a real wait list, see if you can get the call.

I have no idea how long the wait list is but what I think is a lot other candidates on the 'real' wait list would have settled one kindergarten and they may not want to change their choice again esp on the ground that KM does not gurantee K1 place even after studying in the N1.

i had the same concern last year. it turns out 70-80% of pn students will get an offer for k1 in nov, the rest will be put on waiting list and most of them got an offer after k1's registration in the next may.

Actually, i've got an offer from another KT kinder already. But it seems that the reputation of KM is a little bit better.

Maybe you should be pro-active and call KM instead. Tell them if they offer your baby a place, you will definitely take it. They may want to spare the administrative work too, you know. But u better do it quickly.

oh really? KM doesn't guarantee K1 places for its PN students ?

I called KM yesterday and got the same answer. They said it was true that they had started calling the waiting list but seats were not much. Most people on the waiting list did register once they were called. I asked if they would offer the waiting list to elder kids (mine is OCT08 and with real waiting list letter), they of course replied not,the waiting list was ranked by performance. They said if you were not called by end of July, chances of getting a seat was deemed small......

so I think I need to give it up....

My son was studing N1 and didn't get a seat of K1 too. After that my hubby and I went to talk with the teacher and let her know we really like KM and would like to stay. Then two weeks later, they gave back the seat to my son.

你試下附近有一間基督教中心幼稚園啦(Maryknoll隔離), 佢地實收你女女的, 唯有讀住先啦, 出年再考其他K1, 我仔當時都讀左3個月, 都幾好, 校長, 老師同嬸嬸都非常有愛心.
