Hi,

I would like to know for knock door, will it be more advantageous for the school and home in same net or just not relevant.

For knock door school, is this a must to choose those schools before in stage 1 and stage 2 selection. If not, does it mean that zero chance to knock school. Thx

Different schools have different approach in handling knock door application. e.g. Some really test the ability of children they don't need profile but only school report. Some schools need total loyality from parents (per your suggestion).

I think you need to list out your favourite schools for indepth investigation and discussion.

Since I am in net 18, so I can only choose schools in other net in stage 1.

For lucky draw, I will or can choose schools in net 18.

The problem is if I knock door to schools in net 11, net 12, will I be in very disadvantage as I won't choose them in stage 1 or stage 2. Thx

第一要看你想抽 11, 12 網那一間, 直熱門的就算你有選過機會也很少的.

第二是大抽獎有跨區的, 有三個志願的, 你可以填三間你準備叩門的 (你想去叩門的當然是好嘢, 名校跨區排第一的機會已經很小, 試想, 得10%全港抽... 排第二第三的機會是近零, ), 但你去叩門, 起碼話俾人聽你選過佢.

所以, 跨區三間有時都很重要.

但如果我在自行派位時選跨區學校，如軒小。

Plan for the best expect the worst!

There are so few places and many applicants hence there is no point to plan for knock on door.  This year the numbers are 300 applicants for 8-10 places. Just pick your desire school in the lucky draw.

Top schools are generally very fair and will see /test every applicant.  Just prepare your kid to do more interviews and tests as this is really what you can do.  How schools select kids for interviews is mystery.

咁你統一跨區就先填上聖彼德, 英皇等... 實抽不到, 叩門萬一人家問你有沒有選過它, 你都不會口啞啞...

叩門永遠都是高難度動作, 最好在頭兩輪搞掂.
