hello,
my girl is on waiting list for SWCK in coming Jan11, cause she will only reach 3 by jan. She will start K1 in starters this sep, our ultimate aim is QBS too.
Can i ask is starters a good school, the reason i put her there this year is to boost up her english. i am planing to apply hillside ESF K1 for sep 2011 for her, and if she fails to get a place there ( cause she under cat 2 ) , i will put her in SWCK.
hope you can share with me somethings about starters school .

my girl is a jan 08 girl, thankyou very much for your information on starters, i hope lilian would enjoy her study there too.
hope ryan will have a good time in swck , and possible my girl and your small boy would be in the same class in the future

Nice to meet you here. My son will start the K2 pm class in SWCK in Sept. I live in Eastern District. I think my son and your son will be on the same route to school if he will take school bus.

What a coincidence!

My elder son is:
(1) also called Ryan;
(2) is joining Starter's summer program now; and
(3) will start K1 in SWCK pm session in the coming Sept

我想問一下, 如果只是hk resident, 沒有任何foreign passport, 入esf 的 int school 或 rc 的機會是否很低? 我也想比小朋友入is, 只是怕入不到以上的, 只能付較貴的學費的 is, 那時afford 不到再想入local school 便不行了... 請賜教... 謝謝

same here. Aidan loves going to school. Teachers are very nice with good caring to children.

SWCK is simply an awesome school. My son enjoys the school life so much and the speed of his learning of English is super high and impressive. After going to the school for one month, he now can speak full English sentece,

Yesterday, when I brought him to the Peak's playground and played amid the typhoon, he said:

"Papa, help me catch the birds. I want to drop the bread and let them eat it."

One month before, i.e. before going to SWCK, my son, though knows a lot of vocabularies, could only speak phrases/ single words...

SWCK testifies how learning English in life should be the way of learning English instead of learning from books.

Yes, children speak in Cantonese after class. I heard Ryan talked to Aidan in Cantonese on school bus last week.

KCIS, FIS, NIS are also my targeted.
As Ms Gail mentioned, SWCK can get a place in NIS. I browsed NIS website and saw their video.

I know that SWCK is a very good school and my son is going to take the interview this Thurs (heard that it is a group interview by the Principal), can anybody share about what they will do during the interview session? Any one to one session afterwards?

I asked Ryan today. He said 2 Ryan in Starters. One is Ryan and he is "Ryan Tong". hehe~~
