大家好, 我孩子將會今年9 月入學, 我們已收到書單, 但只有英文story books, 請問真道有無textbook? 謝謝.

早前問過學校, 日常上課是學校自製的paper, 沒有textbook的. 至於英文故事書, 是從美國訂購回來, 有星號的才要訂購, 合共$540

Is this mean we have to buy the books thru the school and cannot buy ourselves directly ? When is the deadline for book purchase ?

I have no idea, but I can't find all those books via the Commercial Press web site, so I don't think they are very popular books in HK.

If you want to buy yourself, at least, you have to ask them for the publishers, but I think you have to liaise the A&P or Page One maybe for special ordering, so I don't think I will buy by myself.

I'll buy all story books only, but not those anthologies, they are not compulsory and too expensive, see if they are useful after school starts. I sometimes bought useless books in the kindergarten, don't want to waste $. And you?

職員說沒星號的系列 (Anthologies, 1.1-1.5) 只會在課堂上使用, 並由學校提供, 所以不用訂購 (除非家長堅持吧 ^^); 其實很欣賞學校的安排, 因為這系列的書是最貴, 要$1,158! 現在必須集體從美國訂來的才$540, 共18本書, 平均一本才$30, 很戈算啦!

唯一可惜的是已錯過了學校集體訂購有校徵的Polo-Shirt, 要待開學後看看還有沒有餘貨了~

這些和英文書等資料是我在預繳九月份學費時問職員的, 唯一還不知道的是校車安排, 說學校統籌後會交由校車公司與我們再聯絡上/下車的確實地點和時間...

謝謝您的回覆, 我想我也不買了. 起初一見書單, 淨英文書都成千, 好驚, 以為報了私校?? 好彩, 學校也有心, 自訂教材, 我以前教過書, 知道自訂教材非常好,但好花心機和時間, 辛苦老師們了

原來有限顏色的?? 但我見佢 web site d 小朋友著粉色, 白色也有喎. 有 d 係 t-shirt 添呀!

thx for your detail info. How do you know the FS1迎新日是在8月21日下午 ? Why I can't find from the school's website ? Do you know if there is any 小一預備班 organised for FS1 student or FS1迎新日 will brief us what to bring and wear to school ? Will 1/9 返全日 ? I am very excited to know more !

Hi kukukoo, the admin staff told me the next FS1 welcome day would be held in 21 Aug's afternoon. I believe they will brief the parents much more about our kids' new FS1 life.

HI Jamson, T-Shirt的顏色是沒有限制, 只是褲子或裙子必須為深藍色或卡奇色.

Sorry for me to ask a stupid question, as Logos is major in English and I wonder if my child will understand what the teacher said during the class. Will you let your children to join any tutorial class after the school ? If so, which part should we concentrate (eg. reading comprehension, oral, phonics, writing, etc) ?

不用太擔心，由於校方強調FS兩年是適應期，故此，FS1除了英文科以外，其他科目的授課語言會以廣東話為主。而英文課，若有學生不明白，老師會輔以中文解說。
