Dear parents,

Some of you might be disappointed as your beloved kid could not admit to an 'ideal' school.

I am also very frustrated last year in which my son failed in all admission interviews of those 直資 and famous schools.  We felt very disappointed and even angry with our son as we opined that his failure reflected his inability!

Fortunately, he could admit to a renowned school in Shatin from the 'lucky draw'.  Presently, he almost finished his P.1 curriculum.  We found that he could catch up with his school work and enjoy his school life.  He got 4th position in the latest exam in his class.

From our experience, please take it easy if your kid could not admit to YOUR 'ideal' school.  I think the most important thing was to encourage your kid to enjoy the school life and teach him/her at home in your spare time.

My son is studying 沙呂.  He liked this school very much.  From our observation, the teachers were willing to help the 'lower-ended' students and some of them improved a lot in their academic performance.

Furthermore, the academic performance was quite high.  My son's classmates usually got 90+ marks in dictation and about 2/3 students got 90+ in English exam!

Learning atmosphere of this school was good but we think the workload of homework was heavy.  This school emphasised on student's comprehension ability and I strongly believed that this improved their academic performance a lot.  My son was able to read a Chinese story book (text-type & over 150 pages) within 2 hours.

However, please also note that the principal, Dr TANG, would retire soon.

From my limited experience, I, of course, suggested 沙呂.

I think you are lived in Shatin. Can you give me some comments on Pui Kei, Immaculate Heart of Mary School and 一呂?
