And teach the kids to :
-  change from PE clothes into swimming gear, take a shower, and wearing PE clothes back, plus keep wet swimming gear in bag. (swimming gear = RED swim cap, swim suit or trunks, goggles, towel or old T-shirt)
-  wipe their petpet after going to the toilet, esp after poo.
- put their books / paper / circular / exercise books in schoolbag at the end of school each day, MUST remember to bring assignment book 手冊(altho you can check on parents account for P1, but the entries are sometimes not complete) workbooks

Connie is so disappointed when she knows she cannot use pink school bag.   But I think it would be easier for me to persuade a girl to accept using red school bag than a boy. . .

Just don't understand why there is such a rule on colour of school bag

Yes, I wonder why they restrict the colour of school bag. Red for boys is quite difficult to find. They need to wear white leather shoes too. My son will dry his shoes with a month.

I wonder if I need to purchase the cardigan from the tailors mentioned by the school.

We missed the briefing today. Is it really a must to use red school bag? How about white leather shoes, i know some schools could wear white sport shoes instead.

Hi Jesseyeeyee,
Yes, red school bag.  at least 70-80% red.  The vice headmaster didn't mention allowing white sport shoes in stead of leather shoe, but he said in rainy days student can wear black leather shoes in stead.  

Have you contacted school to have all the circulars issued today?  if you child is in Eng/Chi stream, you need to select 3rd language and inform school latest by next Tue.

according to the vice-headmaster in the briefing,
If you do not go to school on 09/07 or 10/07,  you can buy the books outside, but most likely a bit expensive.

and remind to bring the "EMPTY" school bag on 28/8

Congratulations!!.  I decided not to enroll any academic class for my girl this year and let her enjoy the summer with cookery and 手工etc.  

Seems there are many students taking French than Japanese.  Not sure if we would be allocated to Japanese class.  Looking forward to 5 July.

學校封信話如果有位, 會30/6電話通知, 而waiting list 有效至8月, 所以有d唔明?????

hi there, nice to meet you.
so the p1 briefing session was on  last sat.
most important was let the parents know the book list and dressing code of school and also ask the parents of eng/chi stream to choose the 3rd language (french or japanese) and send back the application next week (our son is in french stream so we are not concerned).
some other information on the administration detail like school fee auto pay form for the bank... uniform tailor list.... school bus company arrangement... pupil lunch... the book shop and school bus company will go to school for sell and Q/A on the 8, 9 10 july.
on the Sat. 28th Aug. P1 is the 1st School Day Orientation.
the 1st school day is 1st Sept.
i don't have the notices on hand and it's just from my memory of that day...
someone correct me or add the missed detail if needed, please.

My personal view is that the school had two phases of P1 application. The interview of Phase Two application comes after Phase One registration, meaning that those that were accepted in Phase One and failed to register will be released for Phase Two successful applicants. Not sure how many places were left for Phase Two applicants, but the first lot of students in Phase One have already secured their registration, so it all depends if the successful applicants in Phase Two will release their seats ... the chances could be very low as those that applied for Phase Two obviousely needed the place after the outcome of the lucky draw and knock door processes ....

4歲 - now:  公共圖書館 各類兒童英文書 & CD
特別鐘意恐龍
睇 Thomas / Carton Network 4歲 - now
講英文可以, 當然無讀英文幼稚園既小朋友咁流利
但肯講. 自動波讀到幾多, 可能唔知意思,
就上 wiki 或 yahoo.dictionary 查

中文  寫/講 麻麻地 (3 -4歲)
屋企做番家姐的公文中文 worksheet &
借多的中文書
今年好的, 特別寫字上 (可能大仔關係)
講普通話幾好 (因為睇住的漢語拼音)

睇家姐本 四年級 Step Up英文都 OK
所以有得跟上家姐津校都放棄左,
山長水遠, 試下係英文小學讀.

近來很忙無時間是BK,謝謝你們的意見:)

我最後決定暫時不幫女兒報讀任何班,這暑假先讓她上網看學法語的網站,她現在學曉了一些單字,少少複句.
其實我是一曉不通,跟她一起看網站時,自己很難記得那些語句,但她讀了幾次就學會,小朋友的記憶力真強!

Have been searching for summer French beginner class for the kid.   Realized that there are not too many.  Instead, Spanish is quite popular right now !!

Spotted a language centre in Olympian City I that currently has French regular lesson.  They need a couple  more students  to open up summer class.   Anyone interested ?

Since you are planning to go the school on Fri, would you mind update after that?  I am not sure what's the purpose of going to school in person to see the school bus arrangement which I think can be done by phone/e-mail.

Hi, Laputa,

Just bought the books from school, but, the Maths Book 1A will be available on Aug 28.
So, we can buy it on the orientation day.

For the school bus, we filled up the registration form already, but, for most of the information, such as get on / off time, bus fee, which they cannot confirm to us.
The staff said they will inform us in mid August.

BTW, I also checked the quality of the school uniform among the 4 providers.
But, I cannot decide which one is better.
Do you have any idea?

and we will look for a backpack after purchased the books.

For books, we have bought from school already.
Only Mathmatics 1A will be needed to bought on orientation date (Aug 28).
Maybe you can check with the bookshop to see if they are all available now.
Remember to go to our assigned bookshop as it have 17% discount already.  Other bookshops would be 10% only.

For uniforms, I have PM you already. Please check.

星期日到我一個帶兩個去旺角搵backpack!
上教協睇..... 好多人......
but finally my son spot a 15L hiking backpack!
80% Red front side, nylon construction with enforced PU bottom. light foam back. very low weight!! and the short format structure fit very well the size of my son's back. less than $150. --> deal! one more thing done!
still have to purchase white leather shoes.....

We got a phone call ~2 weeks ago, that the schoolbus company was testing the route / time; and that they will let parents know at the end of the month.

係呀, 我地都未收到電話呀, 琴日忍唔住打比佢地, 佢地話負責人不在, 我地月尾應該會收到信喎, 封信會有齊晒d資料, 好似上年咁, 之後佢地會再打比我地, 以防寄失, 所以近排又日日望信箱啦, 希望快d收信啦.  係呢, 講問8月28日第一日返學是否可以搭校車架啦?

The time range : 9:00am ~ 12:00 noon
The parents will accompany with the kids.

So, you need to think about where to take the lunch with your kids la.
