My son has joined the regular drama session. He didn't like it, possibly because there were too many children in a class. However, the participants were either native speakers or spoke excellent English. It should be a good venue for practising oral English...

Hi when he said "too many", do you know how many he meant? I dont like the admin. staff in the school but I know it is a popular centre among expats. So as you said, kids there are either native or good english speakers.

I drove him there every Saturday. I saw about 15 to 18 kids. I recalls that the staff said they would take not more than 20 in a session.

Tks for the info... if there is no other assistant staff in class then 20 is really a big number, especially when Faust's prices are not cheap at all. Having said that, do you notice any improvement on your child's presentation skills etc... i mean in terms of what you see in his daily life.. not necessarily in a performance or on stage.
Tks for yr sharing.

As per my daughter's experience, the summer course is much better than the regular class.
In summer course, it's around 6-8 kids/group.
In the regular classes, it's around 10 kids/group.
Both are taught by a teacher with an assistant.

There was a class assistant or student helper but he was rather green and shy.
My child used to like musical and drama that's why I enrolled him in Faust. Since he joined for a term only, I could not see any noticeable improvement in his English. He speaks just the same way as before: fairly good but not native.
If your child is in International school, I suppose there is no need to join Faust for English!!
