Hi,

Pls help comment the banding of the following school, band 1 or 2 and is it English Secondary school?

1. St Paul's College
2. HKUGA Secondary
3. Wai Yan (Wanchai)
4. St Stephen Secondary (Stanley)
5. SPCC
6. Raimondi College

And if there is no more HKCEE, then how to weigh the banding of Secondary school.

So does it mean HKGUA Secondary is a no banding school?

banding係for小5學生去揀中學時用的(同hkcee根本無關), 小5有2次呈分試, 小6有一次, edb調整過d分後(因a校90分, 唔等於b校90分掛, 至於點調整, 更加係edb內部高度機密), 就會將學生分為band one, two, three
banding只有老師同家長傾揀中學時會透露, 唔可以對外公佈
至於hkuga, 由於每年只有約20個學生唔升返hkuga college, 所以絕大部分家長都唔concern呈分, banding等等, 更加唔會為左呈分而特別操練了, 而唔原校升的, 一係就最top, 一係就英文唔得唔敢升英中
俾個參考, 近年外來人想考hkuga college, 一般band one生無問題, band two要睇埋其他表現了(因為open既位唔多)

But sometimes people said the secondary school it Band 1 (end) or Band 2 (top), for example, St Paul college (secondary school). If so, why there is a banding standard on the school when people is talking

小六學生至有分banding，學校係無，我地形容學校係band 1，是指能收到較多band 1生，或band 1生多會首選呢間學校。亦有用HKCEE成績推測學校既受歡迎程度。不過，你話如果無左HKCEE成績，D小六家長/學生點樣揀學校，除左往績，又真係唔知仲有乜途徑喎。

競爭小學學位和中學學位難處都唔同。你提既都是熱門有直屬/一條龍中學既小學，其實係競爭小學學位來說，任何一間都是好不容易。

And if no HKCEE, will it mean only rely on past record for banding or there will be some new rules to banding??
