成績真係好好.  鄧學校開心. 往年都已經好好, 今年更喜出望外!

今年小兒K2, 就快開始面試喇.  希望我仔都能夠考倒我心儀嘅小學.

睇完result, 大大加強咗我信心. 恭喜各家長.

今年都係K2嘅家長, 大家努力.

I think there are some changes in the list as some students are on waiting list at some top brand schools.

Would you mind share the placement result of 09/10 with us?

It was because I am still considering LH or KM, I like LH more but the placement result of 08/09 seems KM much better. So, I want to know that.

Please be reminded some students are accepted by more than 1 school. This is not the final list.

I guess some students at LV campus have gone to intl schools at K3 and the total number of K3 students are less than other 2 campus.

When you look at the primary school allocation list, some K3 students are admitted to Japanese intl school, esf and CIS.

One more point for sharing.

Among the current 3 campus, LV campus has a more significant no. of Japanese students. Most of these Japanese will not apply the mainstream schools after K3 and they have fewer choices in HK.

Besides, most Japanese families are ex-pat and quite some of them have been recalled to return to Japan due to the economy downturn last year.

May I ask which year your kid is studying at?

In school, they do play and attend classes with other students together. After school, they play with other Japanese kids naturally because their mothers enjoy gathering and chatting among Japanese.

Please understand the Japanese mothers being a minority in HK have social needs too so they enjoy the gathering time after sending off/picking up the children.

While I don't have the full statistics, I can share with you that there are four Japanese kids in my son's class.

In LV campus, Japanese students are the major non-Chinese group. The rest non-Chinese students are just a few.

Do you know LV campus is the only LHK campus offers full day class (which is the favorite for Japanese mothers) and Japanese class?

My son is a LH graduate and my daughter is a current LH student.

It's true that most kids are accepted by more than one school. The numbers indicated on the list are just for reference.

It's diffucult to tell you here in detail. I can say a large number of kids are admitted to some famous DSS and private schools, together with aided schools. The school will send parents the list in August or September for an updated list.

BTW, which class will your kid go to in K1?

HL branch, PM (PE) class. You le?

I am going to confirm the offer today or tomorrow... but still got some worry for primary school interview they use Cantonese. If PE class, less chance to talk in Cantonese ? What do you think?

I don't think there's a problem. Students in both CE and PE streams got good placement results.

My daughter will be in CE AM class

之後會更多學生喇.

佢地全日班係十分之難入, 早一年就要寫定信申請, waiting list 好長.

LV campus has already cancelled the full day class for K1. Now, full day class is only available for K2 and K3.

My son is currently attending K2 full day class. (He was also in the last batch of K1 full day class previous year.) In the afternoon (ends by 4 pm), there are various activities such as language and dancing ... etc.

It's quite a long day already for small kid so please consider carefully if you really see the need to add more interest class after school. If you still want to add more after school, I would ask you to consider those 'centres' in Fisherman's Wharf to save the kid's time and energy from commuting.

For P1 admission, I have sent four application letters for my son. He's got admitted to one DSS school and one private school. Finally, we chose an aided school for him. Good luck to your son.

I'll attend the session 3 in Ying Wa on 11/7. Which session have you registered (assuming you will attend too)?

For now, I am honestly not sure what school is most suitable for my son. Yet, have shortlisted some popular DSS and private school to apply first. I just want my son to learn Chinese in Hong Kong so will not try those school with too little Chinese in their curriculum.

Yes, I had joined the K3 sharing session in April and really thanks for K3 parents' sharing. However, as it is a joint school event, too many parents there and we can't ask questions interactively.

I think LHK may organise this kind of sharing session by branches so that our K2 parents can ask more questions.

I did attend the seminar and my son went together too. Though he fell asleep after sitting properly for one hour.

In addition to saying thanks to all those K3 parents for sharing their experience, I hope this activity will continue to receive support from the parents to make it a good tradition for LHK.

According to the school, they cancelled K1's full day class to free up more seats for the full day classes in K2 & K3. This will better prepare the K3 graduates to adapt the full day trend of P1.

今日去完家長会，要多謝学校和教師過往一年（加PN一年）對小兒的教導。小兒由BB到現在K1改変很多，変得主動好多，可能在学校有不同類型的表現機会。

Comparing with last year results, we have higher ratio of K3 students are admitted to 德望學校小學

部, 九龍禮賢學校, 高主教書院小學

部, and 聖方濟各英文小學

this year. (or I should say the parents have different preference this year)

It should be led by the LHK's class teachers themselves.

For interest class on Sat, e.g. Music Venture ($180 @ lesson), it says "lessons will be led by a qualified and experienced music teacher". I am not sure it will mean LHK teachers or vendor.

I am not sure how they choose students to join 音樂節.

The level of Chinese (PTH) and English is above average. I think the level of PTH is even higher than lower Primary.

I can provide more information.
The Music Venture class on Saturday is led by a teacher outside LHK. The lessons are conducted in English.

You might prepare a few for your child. It should be written in 中英對照 as the NET will not be able to read Chinese.

For my case, only the names (both in Chinese and English) are marked on the clothes.

I use normal permanent color pen. You might write it on the label.

You can buy a permanent pen which can be used on fabric material. It's really 'permanent' and the mark will not fade for a year.

Is your child going to Cantonese / English class or Mandarin / English class. If your child is going to PE class, you'd better send him/ her to Mandarin summer course before the K3 begins. Most of the K2 children can already understand and speak very good Mandarin.

congratulations! one question, what do you think is some major characteristics that the school is looking for? I like the feel of LH a lot, unfortunately, my son who applied for PN, than K1 did not get accepted to neither. Meanwhile, he was accepted and was studying at Victoria, and than K1 got accepted to KV, St Cat, and PuiChing which is the one I have finally chosen. I want to apply LH for my younger daughter for 2011, my husband said the way they rejected my son twice there must be something they are looking for which is not in my son, or in our family! what do you think?

My son is a LH graduate and my daughter is a current LH student.

It's true that most kids are accepted by more than one school. The numbers indicated on the list are just for ref ...

If you like LH, I would still encourage you to apply for your younger daughter.

In LH, it's not rare to see some kids changing to St. Cat, Victoria or Pui Ching ... etc. for K1. These are all good schools and their requirements are quite similar. As your son got their offers so your son is pretty good. Maybe it was simply too many applicants and your child was not in condition that day.

Good luck for future school applications.

但是為何一些唸PN 的同學不繼續在LH唸K1?
1. SC跟LH的教法應該相差不太遠
2. KV, PC則是較LH着重中文, 除非家長希望小朋友將來唸傳統小學,否則不應轉校,始終英文好一點會着數些

其他較校的原因還有什麼呢? -- 是K2要全日制? 可否"必定"? 可以唸半日嗎?

我小朋友現於LH唸PN, 正考慮是否向其他學校報K1,作保險....但LH的K3收生的結果又很好....

yes, k2 & k3, 都唔係一定要讀全日班, 而且全日班要排的, 我仔k1一入學時已寫信申請, 到k1 6月先有位, 我安排我仔K2先開始full day class.

今年我知全日班full 晒, 好多小朋友仍然on waiting list.

而且, 全日班下午schedule好好, 有普通話&英文drama, 中國水墨畫, 跳舞, 日文等等....

My child is now in K2 full day class. He enjoys the school very much. But he is a bit tired after school. Therefore, we will not arrange any other ECA for him during weekdays.

According to the school update, the parents will be asked to fill in a form to request full day class. You might check with the school again.

The fee is not just for meals. There are various classes arranged in the afternoon too.
