大b媽咪所得的資料

Some sisters are talking about HMT, harbour height and harbour green 收生人數.. I brought my baby to playgroup yesterday and read the notice... try to remember as far as I can.

HMT: 36 for am, 36 for pm
Harbour Green: 48 for am, 48 for pm
Harbour Height: (total: 216)
48 for am, 48 for pm (trilingual)
48 for am, 48 for pm (bilingual, cantonese/english)
48 (or 24, more likely), can't remember, pm class only (bilingual, potunghua/english)

However, pls note that if your school will small babies of 1 yr 8 months to 2 yrs, i.e. born after August, some places (around 50%) will be reserved to small babies which will have interview in May. I applied mid-Kornhill and the teacher said out of 48 places for am and pm each, 24 places (1 class) for am and pm each are reserved for small babies.

上次考大b的程序

Today's interview is very smooth under very good arrangement.

Each group has six babies and interview lasts for 25 min.

1. Play toys around the table and teacher may come to play with or talk to individual baby. this last for 10-15 min
2. English teacher do story telling for around 5 min. with some cloth animals.
3. Music time. Each baby is asked to come to teacher to get the musical toys and is asked to say thank you in chinese. And then play music and dance, then stop, then dance and raise hands and turn body around and march. Then babies are asked to return the toy to teacher.
4. Teacher has four finger animals on one hand and ask babies to choose one. Then say bye-bye.

Overall I feel it is very structured and give enough time for babies to warm up. The interview is also comprehensive and require the baby to speak at certain points. There is also English and Chinese sections.

Anybody has other comments on today's interview?
I went for the one in Harbour Height in this pm.

Hi, I've got the letter today! My B's timeslot is 9:30am, Harbour Heights. Guess will come about 1/2 hr before the interview starts...

The opposite here. She used to wake up at 7:30am so the time is just perfect. However, she likes to wake up before 6:30am or even 5:xxam so she might be tired when it's 9:30am...

Anyway, hope all our BBs did well!!

鐘意多咗維記,
面試安排得有系統有條理,
內容合適我們這班超細bb,
家長組環節又隨你參與英文還是中文組,
而且內容是圍繞課程的發問而已,
家長可以自由發言,
我見的是叫Ian的鬼佬,
唔敢講佢做起來得唔得,
但就幾坦白和幾talk得,
例如坦白海峰未來幾年都不會是IB,
又例如有家長問到右腦問題,
佢就好有信心咁話現時未有足夠research驗證, 佢唔讚成老師用閃卡等,
整個過程約半小時,
好多人都沒有發言,
不過老師已講明這個環節不計分.

唔似得兩年前,
我幫大女面試,
我們是一定要參與的,
而且有老師在傍抄錄每個家長的發言,
家長們擠在同一課室,
是校長主導成個過程的,
而且只是問:你們為何想來維記?
那次真是壓力很大,
一開始便有家長以相當流利的英語或者國語搶著讚揚學校, 害得人人都怕如果不說上一句半句, 孩子便沒有學位,

總之今次真是抵讚了許多!

does anyone know why there were different number of candidates in different rooms? some had only as few as 3 candidates while some had 7?

Was it because some didnt show up?

請問目前邊幾個campus行IB？行IB有乜好？

Ian is the English supervisor at HH I believe. A nice guy.

I only know that CWB is IB,

我知HMT都係IB，我重以為HH都係IB。我奇怪係同屬Victoria，課程及水平應差不太多，係咪certifiied做IB有幾重要
