Has anyone received the letter for interview?
Does anyone know what they are going to 'test' your child? They will have a 45 mins interview.

Ours will be on 6 May, 11am

The Kindergarten Head Mistress told me that no Cantonese.

The interview is in English and Mandarin

I couldn't attend the talk in March. Can u tell me more what was being presented?

Do you really mean the interview will be conducted in English AND Putonghua? How can kids coming from Victoria Kindy be expected to answer questions in Putonghua if they are not from the English/Putonghua program?

yes, according to the kindergarten headmistress. She said the main language will be Eng and they will test the kids for Putonghua listening!

My son is not from eng/putonghua class. He speaks both Eng and Cantonese at home. For mandarin, he can understand quite alot and can say simple words (hahaha!)

My daughter's interview will be on May 11. Hearing from the Kindergarten teachers that the format of interview will be like that of kindergarten one - play with a group of kids together. Teachers will walk around and speak to the children one by one.

Did anyone attend the seminar in March? Any special information?

May I ask if your children are all from Victoria kindy? So even if they are Vic kids, they still need to undergo interviews to get into VSA? Do you know % of kids from Vic kindy that get admitted to VSA?

This is an early admission assessment for Victoria Kindy's K2 students for academic year 2011/12. The headmistress said that there are more than 400 applications for 168 places. So yes, even Victoria Kindy's students still need to compete for a place at the VSA.

No need to worry at all as quite a lot will forfeit their seats even after registration.
