我試過拆琴分開搬, 但不是所有琴可以的, 最好先問琴行!

First of all, WHO told you it's too small? Did the piano retailer give you measurements and you actually measured ? Or the movers already checked the elevator and told you?

Do not guess from your own judgement. Piano movers who are professional have their ways of moving a piano that you have no idea of.

However, it is very often a problem in buying a piano in HK. However, question is: what kind of a piano is it? Is it a grand piano? Or just upright?

If upright piano, there shouldn't be a problem getting it into any elevator that takes more than 6 people.

All of my students and including my own grand pianos were moved in by elevators, very small, but managed. One time my grand piano had to be lifted through the window by crane. Not many people need to do that.

Most movers will charge you $ 150-$ 200 per floor for moving the piano by the stairs.

My student lives in 9 th floor, they charged her $ 1000 extra to move it by 3 guys, through the stairs.

我家沒有電梯, 加$80/層.

私人楼宇的lift、一般也只能載６－７人、所以moving　of　piano　応該不会有問題、如piano是upright的、都会将piano竪直後搬的。　　I just had one moved so I know it wont be a problem. Unless you are talking about a grand one...as kc pointed out as well.
