frankly there's no real need for such advanced functions of an iphone for secondary school students, they simply want it to show off or for fun... i only let my girl use an ordinary mobile phone

I don't discriminate anyone who use and own an iphone. Actually, I only see it as a luxury "toy" for ADULT. For the teenager, a moblile phone is for easy getting in touch with their families and friends or for emergency. What's more do they want in it? For parents, able to provide the basic needs to their children is already good enough.

Exactly. I don't have one myself. Why on earth should a teenage have such a luxury item?
