If your girl was born in 2005, she will be almost 6 in 2011. I thought their reception was for 4-year-olds?

but my friend's daughter was born in Aug 2005 and she is admitted to the reception year of 2010/11. By that time, she is already 5.

Do you mean your friend's kids who is over 4 years old when applied for the 2010/11 Reception class and get accepted?

My daughter born April 2006. Can she re-apply for reception for 2011/12 or Year 1?

I don't think you can compare your case to your friend's. In your friend's case his/her daughter is only 1 month overage. It's an marginal case so it's not surprising that they would accept her application. In your case, you're looking at almost a year overage...
