I don't know about YORK's performance nowadays though i graduated from YORK Kg long long time ago.. hahahaha
I personally don't think THINK's syllabus is too simple ...

You can go to THINK's hp to read the allocation results....I don't have York's results.
I think if THINK is not better than York for P.1 allocation, the 2 would not differ much.
Unless you u are comparing THINK with SC / KV etc.. then i think SC / KV might be better
But then I think the kids' interview performance is more important than which KG they go. Somehow... it also means the parent education and support we give ...

這doc放了在九龍塘分校的網頁, 按"學校消息", 再按"學校通告"就搵到.
至於麗港城think, 我覺得派位唔錯, 佢學生唔多, 教署網站寫有學生四十幾人, 派得好的比率較好, 相反york有300幾人, 唔係個個都派得好.

york 都收左,
我主要選學校條件係可以學到野....不想課程太淺
york 是否課程深d??? 但要坐校車!!
如think 課程差不多...我可能選think...
有無讀think全日的家長....any comment?

my kid is doing whole day in THINK K1...
I choose Eng project class in PM
So far I'm v satisfied with his lang development esp Eng .. Can speak complete sentences now, though may not be correct grammatically all the time. But good enough for kids who don't speak much Eng at home already.
For Eng they teach according to Themes. THe vocabs that they learn are related to the theme of that month e.g. the theme is winter -- vocab = mitten, hotpot, jacket etc. But they;re not required to memorise the words (i.e. no dictation). However my son can say it out when he sees the related pic. The Eng class teacher once said that Eng in K2 will be a lot more difficult than K1.
They have the same theme in CHinese too. So far he has learnt about 20 simple Chi words and is able to recognise them.
For PTH, so bad that i can't help him at all at home but he has no prob speaking those things learnt in the TBK n sang those PTH songs too. Guess would be better if I help more at home.
They have homework every day in K1 but v simple e.g. line-tacing, colouring etc. Basically is related to the themes of that period. 2 days chinese hw, 2 days Eng hw. On Friday, they have "parent-child hw" like newscut, collecting pics related to the theme etc.
There are a number of experiencial learning activities and outings too. You can take a look at the monthly circular at the sch website to check.

My daughter is in Think K2, there is more homework already. Some Chinese words aren't too easy for children in my mind. So, my daughter likes English assignment more.

Are u asking LN / UN?
he's doing both 英粵 in LN and UN.
For LN ... there were only 10 students in the class with 1 local classteacher (my son was doing pm). There was another class(es) using the same classroom. But I think they arrange lessons in a way which avoid time clashes or they were using different corners of the classroom. Not quite sure.
For UN (am)... there are around 20-22 in the class, with 2 class teachers, 1 net and 1 local (occupying the whole classroom this year). It seems that the class size is even smaller for pm class. But u've to clarify with the school. For languages, they will have split classes ie 10 per teacher. But they will join together (i.e. whole class) for cultural subjects e.g. arts, music, PE etc and snack time.
For whole day pm. I opted for all Eng (n 15 PTH) project class. I love this as it really helps to train his oral English.
If you're doing Eng/PTH, they have 1 net and 1 PTH teacher as class teachers. I don't think they put 英粵 and 英PTH students together in one class. You better check w/ the school about this.
In K2, it seems that all classes are in PTH / eng ... not quite sure abt that. .. In fact .. think has a lot of different combination esp for whole day children

For the no. of class teacher in LN, I'm not sure if they have new arrangement next year or it's different in different branches. For my son last year (In LC), there was only 1 local class teacher but have 1 NET and 1 PTH teacher teaching PTH n Eng... If they just have 10 students in a class. I guess it's very difficult to have 2 class teachers. Unless the class size is larger.

I picked up my son at 4.15 normally. So I'm not sure about the after school arrangement. I just know that there are interest class for parents to enrol after school. You better check with the school about that. However, I've to let my son arrive school earlier at 8.15 to have breakfast as we have to rush to work in the morning. Non-whole day kids can only arrive the school at 845-900.
And for whole day kids, parents can leave their children to school for some school holidays too. But they will just have some adults to supervise the kids w/o arranging special activities for them.

Hey .. I just found the sch notice abt whole day schedule. Kids can stay after 4.15 but no later than 5.30pm every day.

My daughter will start LN at Think (LC) in Aug. Just consider to switch to whole-day class as I'll have my second baby very soon. I believe the Eng project in the afternoon is very good for her language development, but I'm afraid she can't join other ECA. How about your kid? Is he only joining the activities in weekends?

As working parents, we don't have time to bring him to ECA on weekdays. I just let my son join 2 other ECA on Sat (e.g. music / sports / arts but not languages 
).
In fact he joined WD only in K1. In N1, he was in pm class only

I'm just struggling to switch to Learning Habitat in Lohas Park when it opens in Oct/Nov. But as LH doesn't have WD class, I think I'd better stay at Think. I don't think I can handle 2 babies at a time in most of the day! I believe both of them are good KGs.

U know originally I planned to let my son change to those famous KG in Kln Tong area after N1, but at the end i've decided to let him stay (after struggling for a long time though).

This is exactly what I think, that's why I chose Think (LC) instead of other KGs near my home. I chose one which has PN, bilingual teaching and she can study all 4 years! Think is better than those near my home and it's not far from home. I believe students at Think are having a happy school life. BTW, it's primary allocation is good (at least for me!) as I'm not targeting the elite schools.
But still, I'll let her interview some other KGs for K1 see if she can get the offers and have a visit to those famous KGs. 
So will you let your son study WD class till K3?
