Many children with learning disabilities also ve attention deficit disorder (ADD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

children having ADD are being perceived as not paying attention in class, or too quiet and non-disruptive but they frequently daydream.

For ADHD, there are 3 core symptoms :1) difficulties with subtained attention 2) impulsivity e.g always getting out of seat, talking w/o raising their hands, having difficulty in waiting 3) hyperactivity. In addition, children with ADHD may exhibit the following characteristics: emotional over-arousal; difficulties in delaying gratification; and difficulties with rule-governed behavior
