Definitely choose DBS. Ying wah and DBS are totally two different levels of school. YW is a chinese primary school while DBS is english. DBS is most of the parents' dream school.

DB Primary or DB College Boys?
If DB College Boys, than would worth a consideration.
DB Primary has lost the chain with DB College.

如果DBS收我個仔,就唔洗諗, 歷史由久,一定係DBS!!
YW剛剛轉直資,出名都是靠校長既名氣和推廣學校既手法,我覺得真正既成績仲未睇到!!

DBSPD will for sure KO YW. They are not in the same level. Why worry? You should believe in your child ability. He's so smart in getting a place in DBSPD. It is a dream of every boy's parent.

咁大家有無考慮如果個仔跟唔上 DBS 既程度會點呢 ? I know one boy quit DBS and changed to other DSS school before. I think there have many factors to consider :
1/ full time parent
2/ development of the boy
3/ envirnoment

我想樓主很難在這裡收集到中肯的意見，得到的只像個網上民意調查（回答的更是來來去去那堆人）。男拔家長／校友支持男拔、英華一樣，其他都是聽口碑／道聽塗說／睇名氣／信牌子，除非有兒子在兩校的家長能現身說法。
如果曾經上過兩校的簡介會，觀察過他們的學生，仔細看過學校的報告、介紹等，應該對兩校有一定認識，幫助自己做決定。你也可問問孩子的意見。

I agree. And every family has its own unique preference, decided when they first applied to go for interviews. 樓主 should just stick to her priority list and go for the highest choice. If she has no intention on going to a particular school, why waste energy (and sleep) to apply for it?
I also find it strange that 樓主 is worried about the choice before DBSPD releases the results. Relax, don't get too worked up before you need to.

坦白講.. 雖然言之尚早, 但係我有兩名, 我地又唔係窮到無錢交學費, 都叫中產, 但係d錢去哂供樓度.. 如果俾咗個大嘅, 就唔夠俾個細嘅讀私校/直資, 佢地第時亦無錢去外國

if u r a YW parent then i m very disappointed!! principal lam has tried so hard to built up the school, try to make it above the standards to be compared with the more prestige ones, and parents like u can so easily bring it down!! please, use a little sense...
do u know what it takes to go into a hk university or a overseas university??? i can tell u whether u go to dbs or yw has NOTHING to do with it!!!!

其實去得考直資/私立學校, 某程度上都會覺得間學校唔錯先去報考架啦! 當然都會漁翁撒網式去報, 但呢堆學校中, 自己都會有個racking去排家嘛.
我自己兩間都鍾意, 但都會有高低之分, 反而如果DBS同LS, 我就真係唔知點揀...
