我今日收到Wu Kai Sha 2010~2011 (K1)関於去學校有個informal visit 嘅信! 係指會有個about 30mins嘅"play" activities! 請問有冇家長收到同我一樣嘅信呢?

今朝10:45am 去到WKS, 校長介紹完後,會叫小朋友入去一間房,由2位老師外籍老師從旁觀察,然後會寫下.

My daughter's classmate have go to the visit on 11/1. The teacher told the parents that their kid didn't say anything. The teacher asked the kid to say: A,B,C....... and 1,2,3,.........

當日一到,有職員在門口點名,然後會給你sticker(小朋友的名字n Visitor),佢會帶你到ROOM 3,由校長Emma派簡介,話你聽2位外籍會同小朋友做informal visit,家長可以跟佢參觀學校,老師佢會叫你帶小朋友到大房,你可以同小朋友一齊入,裡面有玩具同書本,老師會問小朋友名字,同佢玩玩具,,同引導小朋友講嘢,佢會叫小朋友砌AtoZ,同顏色配对,我見有家長幫小朋友,老師叫佢''dont disturb'',佢哋無特定問題,我諗佢只想睇吓小朋友明不明白英文.大約有6個家庭,校長同老師都有主動同我哋講嘢,晤知算唔算in我哋呢?最好父母都出席啦,因信都有寫parents啦!因有K1同K2上堂,最好靜一點!希望可以幫到大家啦!

They had sent out the letter on Wed (today) and should be able to receive by Monday, according to the receptionist who picked up my call earlier.

想問下大家選ESF kinder的原因是什麼？坦白說，我選Esf kinder 的原因是apply ESF Primary時有priority for interview...

Congratulations!!!. Can you share with us the whole "play visit" process? Are they assessing the child performance in terms of language ability and other capability?

其實我都唔清楚，因為當日有兩個老師在房內和大約6個小朋友相處，小朋友可自選活動，如玩火車，PLAY-DOH.... 而家長就去了school tour，到school tour完左就可以接番小朋友。

it's not only the priority for interview. a few fds in other kinder didn't ve the interview chance for ESF Primary this yr. mindful that the birth rate for 04 kids should be much lower than 07 kids.

I got the contract also, I think the interview was mainly to access if your child feels comfortable about the school and also to be honest, the English level of both the child and the parents. If your child goes to a playgroup already, just treat the play interview as going to your playgroup, it is the same, don't get nervous about it. it was a very relax process.

我今日都收到contract呀! 我個女係pm session! 我其實都同你一樣係因為priorty for interview至選佢架! 因為我住係大埔. 對於我哋嚟講真係好遠! 好彩我個女安排咗係下午, 如果唔係我都唔知每日点叫佢起身返學!

我仔仔今曰都收咗,PM class,我見到份contract寫7 classes for each session,請問知晤知幾多人一班呢?

22-23 children per class with 1 teacher and 1 E.A.

不過我都覺出奇地快收到RESULT, 我個女係12/01 INTERVIEW, 佢地仲話AROUND TWO WEEKS至有RESULT, 但15/01已收到信啦!

My daughter go to the school visit this morning but she didn't talk at all. So I think she will be rejected....

my little girl went to WKS for visit this morning too,there was around 7-8 kids overthere.I found that every kids had their own report papers.After the visit,most of the report papers were written a "YES" at the right top corner,only 2 didn't have a "YES".I don't know what is mean.

Did your little girl get the offer? (i.e. with "YES" on the form)

Also, why some kids did not get the offer (i.e. without "YES)? Is it due to the fact that they did not talk at all or other things that affect their performance during the informal visit?

"YES" were written during the visit by the teachers,and they also wrote down some words for the kid performance too,but I couldn't see what they wrote.We didn't know the result at that time,we need wait for the "letter" to get the final result.

May I know what particular performance that the teachers were looking?
Were they talking to the kids and asking them questions?  What were the questions?
Any group activities that need the children perform?
How did they assessing the children's understanding to their communication or instruction?

Just got the contract this noon.ESF WKS made a offer which is a PM session for my little girl.Anyone got a PM session too?

I was not in the room at that moment,my little girl was just with my helper,and my helper told me,the teachers just asked her a few questions,and also played with my little for awhile.
I think you just make your BABY happy and comfortable during the "visit".That is enough.

I had interview on 18/1 and just got contract this morning offering pm class. Teacher did not ask me any question that day but only talk to my girl. I think they will reject me at that time. Anyway, quite happy to get the offer

I got the contract today also.
My girl feel sleepy on 18/1 and she didn't want to talk at all. But she still can get the contract. I really happy about that. So parents don't need to worry about the result. Just relax.

我都係18/1interview, 今日收到offer letter, AM session呀.

我有個朋友話去得interview既, 都有offer架啦, 事關佢個囡既同學仔去左interview, in個陣成日都講廣東話既, 都收左.

另外, 我有個friend原本係apply青衣campus, 但個邊好多人, 連in既機會都無, 所以佢transfer左去WKS, 都收到call聽日有得in呀, 可見好多位呢!!!

My girl belong to C1 waiting and came back from Abacus on 19th. Many foreigner parents are on waiting list and local family may don't have chance for ESF primary interview. There's no reply from Abacus until today and just wonder how your friend can changed their application from T.Y. to W.K.S. ? Because I don't want to waste my time for something unknown.
