一條加數一條減數，英文問圖畫問題及名幾歲，畫畫同看書。沒有常識及解難問題，比起其他男拔，蔡繼有不太難就真！

I feel APS interview is the easiest one among all ... my daughter said that she was just asked to spell "flower", answer "9-3", "8+6", "12-10" plus a few questions about daily life ... however, do you feel the teachers in the hall were very cool?

Does anyone know if APS study one year in advance for any subject like Eng, Math? Any net teacher? I heard that they use RWI by Oxford for phonics teaching, is that correct?

如果有預備,做下功課,知道大概宣道往年的面試形式,其實一D都唔難,只是小朋友臨場會忘記或答錯野!我女兒都俾自己10分(10分係滿分),但佢有D都係答得唔好!

Anyone got asked about other school they have applied for?

有，向無知稚子套取考邊 d 小學真的有點過份，係到收集緊我們的個人資料(報左邊d小學)，侵犯私隱，又顯得他們小器，好似搶學生o甘，
點解唔係報名表叫家長填，話明係收集個人資料，無謂向天真不會說大話的 5 歲孩子查問，是否報了其他 "cheap" 小學就看不起而不收，而報了好多名校則他們會搶住收 ? 乜 interview 唔係睇小朋友的能力 ? interview 左甘多間學校，都無一間問我地重報左邊 d 其他小學，其他學校則落落大方!

未必咁意思，可能唔想收到d報左又放棄學額既學生，浪費老師行政精力。如要搶學生，就唔會咁遲至開波in。

There are many reasons why they could have asked, but they should ask the parents and not the kid.

I think it should be the exact opposite.
報了好多名校 = likely go to these schools (eg St Paul Co-ed, DGS...) rather than 宣小 so no point giving them an offer.
報了其他 "cheap" 小學

= more likely to come to 宣小 so give them more consideration.

they ask my kid 除數 !!! can u expect a K3 student to do 除數 ?

I was not sure when I first hear it from my kid, so I asked my kid whether teacher asked 乘數 ? my kid said no, only ask me 除數
that's why i feel strange, b;cos 除數 is more difficult than 乘數

我沒有教過我阿仔除數, 所以阿仔都唔知咩叫除數, 但我身邊有考宣小既人口中, 係問一條串字, 一條加數, 一條減數, 沒有問乘數 & 除數呢

我估唔會問呢 d, 佢地得5歲, 唔會識除數架喎

Agree, if you use everyday situation which the kids are familiar with then its not a problem. Then comes question of what is familiar to kids - do you have big cakes regularly or do you buy small cakes? My girl has similar questions in K3, but not so easy when you don't deal with normal items. It all becomes relevant and easy when I use little-eggs, when eating them, to illustrate the use of maths.
