有無人可以分享一下 st paul k1 面試的內容.

今年很多人報名, 好擔心阿囡入唔到.

hi jenbenbb,

i recall our interview last year - it's about 5-7 minutes.

parents and kid were led to a room, one teacher interview parents. another teacher interview the kid at a different table.

questions to parents:
- why you choose this school?
- who take care of the kid?
- what do you usually do with your kid?

questions to kid - unknown because my daugher could not tell us last year (maybe other mami can share)
my daughter only said that she told the teacher she brush her teeth everyday

Questions to parents:-

Why you choose this school
Who take care of your kid
What would you do when you are spending time with you kid
What are the good points of you kid

Questions to kids:-
Not sure but it seems the teacher handed a doll to my daughter and my daughter described diff parts, eg month, teeth, etc

All in Chinese. I think the key is your kid is independent enough to communicate with the teacher while the parents (both dad and mum) are being interviewed by another teacher.

My daughter is now studying in SPK K1.

The application form said the received time from 09:00 to 15:00 this Saturday, what time did u go there ? is there many people last year? please give suggestion

last year, i had to wait for almost 1 hour in order to submit the form. i arrived school around 10:30am. maybe that's the peak hour??

其實中間冇野隔住的, 可以參考我2年前去 interview 既圖 , 不過唔知宜家有冇變啦.

yes they seems won't take young kids.....so this yr, my daughter will go to interview again to see whether she has luck or not.

but this year, there are more than 2300+ applicants which are more than last year

Question to my girl:
Not sure as being arranged in a different corner within the room.  But i heard my girl saying something like "pencil" and "cup".

Conclusion after the interview:
They are looking for an independent child who can cope with seperation from his/her parents.  According to feedbacks from other friends/moms, the questions asked seems to be very simple and straight forwards, no hardship.  Will not ask your kids to recongize the alphabets / chinese character or arrange number , alphabets in a sequence.  But i guess at least they need to RESPONSE to questions about their name, age, gender and matters relating to their daily lifes tools or activities.  A old friend of mine ( her girl is in p2 now), her girl was asked what is this ( a hair brush), what's the hair brush for ( give her a doll and observe whether she will brush its hair ); what is this ( pencil), how to use this ( observe if she knows it is for writing/drawing ); ask her to put a key (toy) into a keychain and then take it out again.  My friend's girl is very good in communication and that's why she can exactly tell my friend what's the questions about.  But for my girl, she couldn't tell back the questions but i admitted that she behaved very matured during our interview.

Hints to parents:
As the questions period is very short and rush, remember to give a qualitative answer and don't just answer yes, no or one word.  Need to actively response the questions.  The school also likes to choose a kid's parents who presents themselves as very love caring, considerate and having a very good relationship with the child.

Message to small bb:)
Add oil.  Although school prefers big bb, it doesn't mean SPK rejects small one.  In fact, my friend's girl is a Aug06 bb and she is in K1 already!!

咁誇張, 2300+ applicants, 咁入到的機會咪好細.

真係好鬼擔心喎, st paul 係我的 1st choice 架.

我既意見係 ~ interview前要做好功課
(a)自己train好個小朋友
1.禮貌
2.笑容
3.能對答一般問題
4.獨立

(b)家長要了解一下spk是那一類形的學校
1.對答方面最好夫婦相方
2.了解學校的理念
3.作答以自信自然真情流露

don't worry....you will get the interview letter after Jan 4

i had 3 times experience.......so i don't really worry. If she cannot get into SPC, i can still apply other Primary school at K3....if my girl cannot get in, she can still go SPCS (happy valley) where her sister is studying...actually the SPCS happy valley is a good school too

請問是否一定要父母一同面試? 因為另一半不大肯參與, 如果一齊去, 但我自己答哂會好怪, 萬一老師指定要佢答, 又怕佢答得唔好, 所以想問下如果到時只由我帶小朋友入去, 可以嗎? thank you!

可以, 不過印象中, 大部分小朋友都有父母一齊陪同架, 我個人認為父母一齊陪同代表有誠意

你如果好鍾意SPK, 你最好說服你另一半一齊去,以免之後後悔

我已經因為個囡的 interview 搞到頭都大埋, in 佐4 間 2間 waiting, 1 間未知, 1間唔收.

希望 st paul 的 interview 順利, 但睇番你們去年的經驗, 好似唔多好喎. 今年咁多 applicants 會唔會 in 得仲求其??

actually the interview only take 3-5 mins.......so you don't know how do they pick a child. Also they love big kids

My friend has 2 girls but she attended the interviews by herself only. Both of her girls got acceptance finally. (now all study at SPCS)
I attended the interview with my HB for twice (2 girls)... but all failed...

所以我覺得無乜關係...

huh, how can we answer who takes care of your kid for you? Don't worry! I am a working mom also, I just told the truth that both my maid and myself take care of my kid daily since I have to work.

現在幼稚園入口外牆装修,條路窄了很多,平日接放学己很擠逼,相信面試當日也更更更逼,吾知校方会不会有特別安排,如入操場等,但舊年就冇,在入口大堂等叫上樓,所以頗亂頗逼,因此"準時"就最好...不要過早!!

thank you, crowded place would affect kids for sure! I think SPK is an experienced school, they can arrange in the best way.
