Btw, does anyone know how many K1 kids in AM?

I heard 4 classes of K1, but not sure it is AM & PM together or respectively (i.e. 8 classes in total).

should be 4 classes in total. I asked before.

My son is admitted to PM class.

Hello.. Bella... I have applied St. Joannes.. but I didn't go to the interview... Due I will choose Stafford instead of SJ, so I skipped the interview!!!

Why did u skip the interview? Is it because yo know any bad thing about St Johannes?

Actually I didn't know anything about SJ, the mis. charges is very high compare to other schools... I think it's not too good to do that...

their school fee is not high as compared with others. Below is this year's school fee:
K1 (half day): $3,300
K2 & 3(full day): 4,350

Can you advise what are the mis. charges and how much will that be?

But do you know about the teaching quality of this KG or it's primary school allocation result (if students choose not to go to their own primary school)?

I remember it is around HK$3000+ .... 2 times a year... that means the miscellaneous is 6K+ per year... it's very expensive ah!

Sorry to say that I really don't have any idea about this school!

We have got an offer from Stafford also, AM class, paid the deposit, still waiting for KV, really 15/16, personally I like Stafford, however, my friend's daughter is studying there. She told me there are a lot of misc. charges also, every week have to pay something to the school. Also, she told me she paid over $1000 to buy text books this year.

Really need to think twice, if i should put my son there, as he is a little brother also.... headache!!!!

My son is Sep 07 & 90% pm class. I have checked the the teacher said that their mis charge for two times, first time around $1300 and second time only $1000.

I don't hear she told about the show&tell session wor..for English??! Let me ask her then.

For the school, she commented, teachers are nice, the helpers are nice, and the kids there have been taking good care. Boz less kids are in the class. For Chinese learning, she told me, her daughter now is in K2, have to write about 20 words a day. For graduates, most of them can go to famous schools, especially to those english primary.

Thanks for sharing, pls help share more once you hear more from your friends. Btw, for famous english primary school, can you give me some names?

To share more, i called the school today & they mentioned they will have 4 K1 AM classes next yr.

K2 & K3 -- parents can choose half day or full day. If full day, it is $5.8k monthly nowadays. Not sure if we need to pay extra on all extra-curriculum.. if need to, it is very expensive.

我今日打去問了...學費是 $3xxx 一個月, 再加一年二次什費, 二次合共大約是 $2xxx, K2 開始可以報劍英, 由家長自己決定, 是返星期六的, 收費是10 小時一個course, 現在約 $1xxx ....其他的費用我問了是校服費,茶點費及校車費( 呢三樣, 我想間間都有收的)....若有mami 知道更多資料, 請提供一下......

Yes, for K2 & K3, it's about $5.8k full day monthly nowadays.
I called that yesterday and it seems that in most parts of the am session (talking of full day), the NET class teacher will involve. That's the reason i prefer Stafford.
Actually, they mentioned that the pm session includes kinds of interest class (i.e. music, gym., doing homework, or even cambridge's classes) .
And that 's the concern from my wife and I. If we 're not going to apply the full day class, we have to find interest classes outside and even go back to school on Sats to review for the cambridge's exam.

call the school today, Ms chan mentioned that the full day school fee (current is $5.8k) including all extra-curriculum class in the afternoon like cambridge. But there is additional $300 snack fee, $4xx lunch fee & $1.1k school bus fee. No afternoon nap time & kid shall finish homework before going home on Mon to Thur. <Quite attractive for working mum>

But I doubt they will still be in small scale class coz it ha 28 to 30 kids per class. (3 AM & 1PM).

Last yr, 1 boy goes to DBS & 1 goes to DGS. (out of 22 graduates)
Others go to famous english schools in general. I believe 22kids is really small scale but not 30 per class.

Btw, I heard they only have 5 classrooms in school, I am thinking if we do full time class, will the kid need to go York in the afternoon?

Now it is English vs $$$ competition.

btw, there is high chance i will give up Stafford AM offer coz just received offer from GH (hope no need to do the school hunting process again in P1 eventhough GH KG doesn't gurantee a P1 seat). If anyone wants to switch from PM to AM, pls submit letter to school!!!

Hope all mamas can find a suitable school for kids.

Ms Chan also told me the class size will be 28-30, so honestly I doubt about the "small class".

In respect of DGS or DBS, are the successful kids get in coz of lucky draw or "knocking process"? One thing i am more concerned is the reputation of Stafford (not to say it's not good), but just wonder the years of establishement as it's relatively new as compared to other kindie in KT. :)

i think many kids need to take a nap for at least 30 mins in the afternoon to recharge...
