One is expensive and one is cheap.

One has secondary school to back up and the other one you need to strive for a good secondary school.

One is Christian school and one is not.

It is hard to decide...

In fact, where do you live? location?

I live in Aberdeen.

Just wish to know which one:

has a more happy school life ?
better language development ?
better character building ?

If you live in Aberdeen, it's better to choose St Stephen's in Stanley which is closer to your home.

Further, there is secondary school as a backup....no need to worry about secondary school wor. ..there was student who got 10As last year in its secondary school.

論地點, 除非你住新界, 在港九大部分地方既學生都是7am 之後上校車, 而校園環境很好

論英文, St. Stephen 閱讀風氣好, 如果要打穩語文基礎, 一定要留時間留精力給孩子看書, 你可以到St. Stephen web site download 個 book list, P5 已經要看金庸, 你可以當它是有中文教的國際學校, 不過, 連學費也是國際學校的水平, 入學時要考慮自己在未來日子的經濟問題, 因為它不會跟DBS一樣對經濟差的家庭有學費減免, 我最擔心就是這個問題

if not concerning $$$, I will definitely choose St. Stephen's.

1.  English foundation is better
2.  Mandarin level is good too
3.  Good school environment
4.  Have secondary school and no need to go thru school hunting. (guess everyone has enough torture during P1)
5.  small class teaching
6.  ECA is very strong

其實成日話將來可直升中一,其實將來可否報返kings,皇仁或St Paul co-ed 之類架? 駛吾駛又要放棄什麼大抽獎架 ?

論學校環境, 背山面海, St. Stephen 好過 Kings, QC 好多, 又係男女校, 學生style 跟 SP Co-ed 又好唔同, 讀得開心佢未必想轉校架!

By the way, 我唔覺得Kings 好過 St. Stephen.

DBS 1200% - the schools is really top in all fields and suitable for those (parents and students) who love competition, from day 1 to day X, in all areas, only the Best of Best will survive, those unfit will be counselled out. The parents and tutors are responsible for academic development, the school is responsible for development of school reputation by coaching in open contests / competition. TSL is a relatively "new" primary schools, its critical weakness is that it does not have secondary school and each student has to fight on his own from P1 to P6. In order to raise its status or valuation, it emphasis the results of its secondary school allocation and awards of open competition (including rather petty ones) and the curriculum is pushy pushy, 1-2 yr ahead of standard.

why did you even consider a school with a very weak reputation in W Kowloon and you live in Aberdeen??

i would also add SPC boys, a lot get into Cambridge, Cornell U etc,.
and get a strong all round education+big alumni network.
Kings is ok - but you're not in that network
