Anyone have applied HKBU Kinder & interview on this Sat?

Yes.. I will have the interview with HKBU on Sat at 3:40... however, I am still thinking whether I should go or not due Stafford has accepted my son already. The interviewing time is too long... takes around 2 hrs!!!

I heard that they won't test on the children... they will only talk to the parents... see they matched with the school's philisophy... don't know it's true or not!

same as you, i will interview on 8:45am so early and crashed with kv at 9:00am, maybe i will give up the khbuk's interview.
Also stafford has accepted my son. will you pay the registration fee for stafford?

老師會了解家長平日點樣教子女,對幼兒教育的看法, 睇下家長對子女有幾了解. 對子女有咩期望同最欣賞子女的地方.

hi, nc2000,

if you don't give up anyone, then, maybe you can try to call hkbuk for re-schedule the interview time if possible, this is impossible to acheive the other at 9:40.
i will give up the hkbuk because i think it is not my cup of tea after attended the hkbuk's seminar.

Hi Lilian and BB豬MUMMY ,

nice to talk to you again!

I will give up the interview at HKBUK as I believe that it's major teaching medium is Chinese - I prefer to be Eng. Also, this is a pretty new KG so not so sure about its quality. The other reason is that there are too many interviews to attend. I don't want to make my son feeling bad about interview.

For the Stafford registration, you can post the cheque. I did so and checked with the school that they have already received my cheque. You don't need to go in person - the offer letter says the same!

咩hkbuk有seminar咩..?我星期六都會去呢間in ar..但我原全唔知佢有攪過seminar....可以share一下seminar的內容嗎...因我都唸緊去唔去in呢間呀..睇到佢話歷時兩個鐘...我唸呀仔未必支持到...因佢嗰個時間係午睡時間....同埋想問下hkbuk有冇小中學ga.....可以share一下嗎...many thx..

hi, claudiayk,

yes, when i apply this kg, i noted in their web-site they will have a seminar on around sept 20 but must be registered first.
The seminar is held by the principle, she major told us about the history of kg, teaching medium & their curriculum, normally pupils will go for which primary schools after k3.
yes, they have primary school calls 浸大附屬小學王錦輝小學 at shatin (not one dragon), will accept about 60-80% from kinder. pupils no need to wear uniforms, teaching medium is using cantonese & chinese, very active teaching method (subject & project teaching methods like university), no more home work. so that they mentioned that their pupils were very presentable. and my friend's two daughters were graduated here, she also said their curriculum is quite easy, maybe need to join the extra learning outside.
after seminar, we both go for visit their campus.
i think they use two hours for interview, it might have seminar again for the parents.

yes, i agreed with you that i don't like their teaching medium is chinese instead of english. that's why i want to give up their interview. and also too much interviews on that day.

I have given up HKBU as well as I've got many interviews today as well including SN, York & St Johannes.

Ha, my son is also accepted by Stafford pm class. What do you think about Stafford? Do you think you'll finally choose it?

about my friend's two daughter :
both of them never go to their hkbu's primary, they are studying at st. paul in hong kong side. i also asked her how about your daughters from this kg to st. paul, she said that's okay because she was a full time mummy & has well educated from aboard. i think she helped them much more but she told me that many other mummys in hkbuk (their classmates in few years ago) who have applied the another one kg for study (that means two kgs one day for their kids to study). and then i answered that "oh, my god!"
i think you can consider this kinder if you accept their concept of teaching.

my son is also on pm class, will make decision on nov. 17 (deadline to register).
how about the performance of your son in kv?

但一直都唔肯講自己個名，　唔多想同個先生講嘢，　因為這個係年紀較大ｄ老師，　我個仔好鍾意同姐姐講嘢，　上次見ｓｃ　本應都好好地中杗文老師ｉｎｔ　答到大部份問題，　雖然有ｄ錯，　但都肯答，　但佢一見到個普通話老師，　連坐低都唔肯　，　好唔鍾意，　我即刻拿ｊｅｌｌｙ　出來，　佢先肯坐低，　不過無講嘢，　所以徙我諗都唔得
