I plan to let my son to get into IS primary. Does he need to study in an IS kindergarden in order to get into an IS primary? As I know IS kinder is usually more expensive (at least $3k/month) than local kinder, are there any cheaper IS kinders to recommend or any IS kinder allows the use of 學券?Thx.

If you are talking about money, I think IS primary and secondary are even more expensive. $5000-$10000 per month, plus debenture or capital levy.
2-3 years of kindergarten.
6 years of primary.
6-7 years of secondary.
Still think it is not worth in invest in the kindergarten years?

Schooling is a very long road and I think this topic has been discussed serveral times before.
Therefore, main points for you to consider are:
1. Your financial situation (if you can afford IS all the way through)
2. The outcome that you want (differernt way of teaching and learning environment)
Never starts on an IS kinddy then try to go back to a local primary school. You and your child would have ahard time to adjust and catch up the Chinese subject. However, if you starts in a local school, you can change to an IS provided your child English ability is good enough.
It is a catch 22 situation. Nothing is perfect.原帖由 lsftsang 於 09-11-11 15:41 發表
