朋友話俾小朋友讀名校會令他們以為自己好優越, 同學間亦會有無形的競爭, 如放假去左邊度旅行? 學校亦往往會揀家長背景, 朋友特別提高主教係咁, 真的嗎？重有咩學校會咁？

學校揀家長背景, 唔一定係鬥有錢, 好可能係想睇下父母係咪ready去栽培小朋友, 好似我朋友讀德望, 佢就話會in家長同小朋友, 睇下平時會做d咩, 放假時家長會同小朋友去邊, 多唔多時間陪佢地, 等等
personally我唔覺得高主教係一間揀有錢家庭既學校......(意見同monkeydog相同)

If I were the principal, I will rather choose educated parents, instead of rich parents as the % of educated kids from educated family are much higher than educated kids from rich family in general.

I think this comment is over-sensitive. Such is certainly not the tradition of the school. I know a lot of old boys from Raimondi, most are from ordinary families. Actually in most schools, including many kindergartens, teachers may ask children where they have been during the holidays. These may just be exercises for students to retrieve memories or to share. Giving a mix of family backgrounds, such things are difficult to avoid. Most teachers are impressed with students' academic achievements, attitude and efforts, not so much their family wealth, I believe.

大概如此吧 , 因為認識的有住天水圍及TUEN MUN 都可順利考入. (一般來說, 天水圍及TUEN MUN的家庭叫中產家底, 是嗎?. )

Wealth of parents is meaningless. Parents will pass away one day and kids need to live on themselevs. If they have no skills to survive, even $100m can be washed away easily.

$100m - put it in trust that pays a nice monthly income say 0.001% and receive perpetual income.

我住居屋，你住公屋，算不算呢?
争斗极都应该不及富贵国际学校吧，人家单是买debenture都要2,3百万。
如果看到有家长拥有这类嘴脸，我会叫她先去CIS,HKIS见识见识，如果她不能升呢，就只不过是50步笑百步而已。

對不起,只想更正一下,不是間間international school要買這麼多學校債券,
像德瑞,只需要十幾二十萬,不過是沒有得退

我心想,最大問題是又遠,小學部搬了去Ma On Shan,之前在半山

我有次找他剛好是放學,全部是有汽車接的,都沒看到校巴,這樣子我找自己麻煩才會申請

而且債券是讀幼稚園給一次,讀小學給一次,讀中學給一次

是嗎?那為什麼我朋友說普通.我朋友recommend它服務的學校主要是international school中平,一條龍,活動教學

而且,德瑞在international school中不是熱門的

Australia international school較德瑞貴,也要排隊考入,不過她是跟NSW的學制,我有認識的人從Australia來港安排小朋友入international school時,最初目標也是Australia international school,唯一令他卻步的不是學費貴 (因服務機構負責), 而是他來港前是住Victoria,學制不同,所以選擇了英基

很多international school較德瑞熱門而學費反而較德瑞貴

my friend told me is about HK$6,000 per month for the primary school, but not including debenture.

But this information he told me on Oct 2008. After that, I don't ask him again

Have a look here on GSIS website, the monthly tuition fee is above HKD8000. It's not the most expensive one, but not as "cheap" as HKD6000.

今時今日仲用“家底”呢個字眼既？50年代0羊

。500萬身家够厚未？5000萬又點呢？

“名校”呢個字眼都好難考究啦。傳統既又話名，新派既又話名，地區既又話名，國際既又話名。

樓主朋友講既意見，無建設性，無根據，聽來做0羊？實實在在認識吓0的學校，再為自己小朋友揀適合既仲好啦。
