直資+私校當然可以啦 (津校就唔知), 睇你到時又會唔會覺得自己個仔係超大仔.

同埋考小學有時真係好睇臨場表現+運氣......機會高唔高真係好難講!

It is very good that you have the 2nd int of Co ed. Heard that around 150 offers for 200 kids for 2nd int. A very high possibility for the offer. No worry.

你仔仔表現真係好好，恭喜恭喜！咁多都有2nd interviews，你其實唔駛咁擔心住．HKUGA收生準則，同傳統學生略有不同，我都識唔止一個DBSPD同Co-ed收的學生，反而HKUGA唔得．

調轉來講，佢今年咁好表現，仲要repeat一年，你又會唔會覺得嘥咗？

My boy luckily has the similar case as yours, SPCC 2-in; SP Boys 2-in; YW 2-in; SSCPS still waiting. We are at this moment very calm since we pray to our god and put all the pressure on his shoulder. Cheer up, don't be nervous, you should be proud of your boy.

May I know which one you'd prefer more if finally all the schools accept your boy?

I have planned to let my son repeat K3 or P1 to apply for those school last year. Of course, prepared a lot of materials for the knocking door,.... Praise the Lord, we received an acceptance letter after we prayed for the Lord. Today is the anniversary day. He is a small small boy, and he is still 5. So, don't give up, add oil.

N.B. For repeat P1, the school may think that you don't have condifent at your study.

It is only November, too early to decide. A lot of P1 place will be released after the 1st and 2nd stage lottery.

So don't worry

我都有些问题:
1) 当要提交最近一年的成绩表，就会是K3的成绩表，学校就肯定知道是repeat.
2) 如果是超细B, 学校会不会问为什么不早一点就安排repeat,反而等到K3才这样做呢?家长不是最了解小孩的情形的吗?
3) 如果是9，10月B,他们跟7,8月B不会差很远，但还repeat,是不是有什么问题?
我儿子都是细B,还没有offer.

有些颇有经验人士提醒过我，话很多top schools,他们要的学生不单是要smart，转数快有急才,还要"定",但很多细B就是缺乏这一项，所以如果有细B又定又smart，要考到学校就问题不大。

My boy was born in late Sep 2004.

Thank god, my son did well in both interviews upon my observation.

I guess the chance of getting a seat in SPCC is not slim at all, here is my theory:

1. 150 out of 200, which is 75%, right?
2. I believe there must be at least half of the 150 kids will get more than just 1 offer, which means they may also have offers from DBS,DGS,etc., right?
3. For those people who live in Kowloon side, they may consider to put their kids into DBS or DGS, etc.
4. If they have younger brother or sister (same gender), their parents again should put them into DBS / DGS.
5. The 50 kids who fail in 2-round should deserve a place on waiting list.
6. according to point 3&4, the kids who are on waiting list should get a place eventually.
7. Ms Lee would not waste her time to introduce her school in details if she's not willing to take your boy.
8. Ms Lee seems very nice.

BTW, did Ms Lee say any thing good about your son?

I wish our boys can finally get into this school, good luck, potential schoolmate. I'll pray for you.

I miss one last point.

9. Boys have advantage in SPCC's interview since there are not too many boys who get into 2-in, since girls are always smarter than boys at this age(only my personal view), the no. of girls interviewer should be more than boys, which means boys will have a slightly greater chance, ha ha.

12月超細B係咪架啦, D學校多數都收晒大B先, 不過你小朋友都好叻呀 ! 咁多間都有得2nd interview. 我囡囡都係12月超細囡, 我已經決定唔會repeat,即使全軍覆沒, 最多去叩門囉, 小朋友有實力啲話, 一定有希望架 !

Repeat K3　doesn't ｇｕｒａｎｔｅｅｎ　ａ　ｓｅａｔ　！

細B第一年P1 照讀, 到9 月照考DGS, DBS, CO-ED 等P1. 得就得, 唔得就算繼續原校P1生活,

成績好3月開始留意考插班P2.

The diffrence between big B and small B only shows in early years. It will narrow down eventually. You boy is already smart, though he is a small B. It is not worthwhile to repeat and waste one year.

agree! 我個仔都係超細B，現在二年班已覺同大B冇乜分別！

我覺得樓主有些茅盾，如果那些學校唔鍾意收細B，根本唔需要比second in 你個仔，你報的間間都係名校，好多大仔都冇2nd in，你個仔能力上一定唔輸舌，又何必杞人憂天呢？

Usually I heard from a few friends who had the experience of small kids saying if Ms Lee from SPCCPS thinks that your boy is smart but too "small" for this year P1, she will indicate for you to apply again next year. Did you get that impression? If you didn't, then maybe you will be OK. Did she mention anything about your kid being "small" at all?
Two of my friends' kids had that experience and their kids both got in after one year. One of them repeated k3, and one of them went to another school for p1 first and then applied again.
