Many K1 students (even pre-nursery students) of my kid's school go to school by school bus. I think there is no need to ask if other parents are worried about it. Each person's perception of risk is different, but we must admit there is risk associated with a small kid riding on a school bus by herself/himself. So, you ask yourself, if you are worried, then, only choose KG that are within walking distance or you arrange the resource to take your kid to school by yourself/helper/a relative. If cannot be arranged, you then just trust the 保姆 of the school bus.

My son take school bus by himself. He studies PN. But it just about 10 minutes travel.

我個仔由n1 (tko - lamtin: 40 min 因停站, 中小巴), 而家K1 (tko-kowloon tong: 30 min 因直去, 大校巴), 基本上都冇問題, n1時的校車安全帶好d, fix 阿b不動, 人少d, 1位ee, 而家大車, 安全帶就差d, 不過就有2位ee, 細的小朋友坐前面, 都ok.
