MY SON WILL ATTEND THEIR INTERVIEWS ON NOV. 6 & NOV. 14.
PLEASE SHARE THE INTERVIEW CONTENT AFTER ATTENDED OR ANY PARENTS THEY CAN SHARE THE CONTENT IN THE LAST YEAR.

同大家分享囡囡(活躍型)在上年interview的經驗, 第一間係SC, 如此類推...
1. SC - 準時入學校, 遊花園後到班房與另一小朋友玩玩具, 老師
從旁比分, 因為對方小朋友大喊, 跟本考唔到佢識唔識同人玩, 只係不停叫我同佢一齊玩. 接著到另一班房, 內有三組老師個別面試
, 在班房內等候時間, 小朋友一般不耐煩, 要坐定定真不容易呢! (千萬不要早到, 門口多人多車, 小朋友情緒不穩定, 好多小朋友成日叫走, 唔去入面玩).
2. KV - 一位家長陪同, 是爸爸帶, 只知道過程好快, 不用15分鐘已完成. 最令我意外是囡囡面試後的表現, 眼紅紅, 沒精打采, 好似生意失敗咁, 我從未見她如此樣子, 爸爸話佢十問九唔應, 不停要搵我.
3. HY - 家長帶小朋友入班房後, 要先行離去, 小組型式面試, 只知道首先要自行拉椅子, 聽老師指令, 例如: 玩玩具, 排隊等... 過程不足10分鐘.
4. SRL - 在小學
禮堂進行(已拆), 在十多組老師同時進行, 一對二型式, 家長不能陪同, 今次的對手又係大喊型, 多少影響了囡囡分數, 因老師要用多些時間takecare對手的情緒, 所以實際面試時間短了.
5. 宣道 - 好密集, 容許兩位家長陪同, 一般對話及玩玩具, 從中測試.
幸好有前九間的經驗, 在第十間表現相對係最好,有幸成功入讀最心儀的KG. 當然爸爸/媽媽面試經驗亦取得不少分數.

HY上午in大B, 下午in細B, 要在group interview成功突圍而出, 很不容易. 淡定, 服從, 紀律型有著數!
過程: 聽老師指令找指定玩具玩, 如洋娃娃的話, 問埋身體部位在那等等, 都係一般問題. 如指定玩a-z玩具就相當困難, 要跟次序排, 唔知有否問a for什麼之類.
最後老師叫小朋友排隊等出門口, 好多小朋友仲掛住玩唔肯走, 囡囡離隊兩次...

Heard that the order there this morning was good. There were 1 male and 1 female police officers in brown uniforms watching the traffic conditions as no illegal parking is allowed.

just finished the interview at 9:45 this morning, it allows one parent (my husband) entry the campus and i waiting outside of the school.
but my husband has bad feeling fm st. cat as the interviewer wore long face with kids & he said other interviewers also in a same room.
the contents :
1) ask kid's name?
2) play matching board (car, ship & aeroplane, put
them into relevant shape & ask what are them?)
3) model toys with bowl, towel,
teeth brush & spoon & teacher give
him a bowl & ask him which one
can use for eat & please pick it up (spoon)?
then, ask him where is yr mouth?
4) a picture with 3 clouds with red,
blue & yellow, and then give him 3
related color wooden blocks, ask
him what colors are them & match
the same color with the wooden
blocks.
5) some hocks put them together
thats all.
i ask my hushand how % our son will be accepted. he said half & half.
i think that he don't like this school too much & likes the other 4 schools we attended.

請問是小組形式還是單對單? 是否用英文in的? 我仔仔今日4:15pm呀, 有d緊張, 我揀左英文去in, 但仔仔英語的對答麻麻地, 有d後悔揀用英文in.

my husband said that firstly group interview means : 4-5 kids sit around the table and play the toys (like lego...) & some teachers record them individually & then one by one to meet the interviewer. my son choose cantonese for interview because not good command of english.
i want to remind you that don't go early, too many people & no playground for kids to play. (just on time is okay).

Can you share what other 4 kinders you had interviewed?
I checked with York, saying the 30mins per day, but St. Nicolas 1 hr per day, how about St. Cat any one know....

My son will do the interview on Monday - very nervous because he is a 'small B' (Dec 07) and so the chance of getting the offer is very low

the other 4 are sn, stafford, york & yau yat chuen school.
st. cat. spends us about 30-40 minutes.

no thanks, i think can help you is okay.
don't be worry that my friend's son was also small boy in 2007's interview & he studied here already. my friend said that their k1 class about 18 pupils were also small bb. i think their content will be different with the big bb.
i will report if my son has offer fm st. cat (but chance quite low because my husband said there were too many kids)

今朝IN 咗啦! Scheduled time was 9:15am.
9:05am去到,一個家長同小朋友入campus,IN完出嚟9:30am.
首先排隊入一個課室,幾個小朋友坐埋一齊玩積木,家長坐在附近的椅,miss就從旁比分,玩咗~5分鐘,便去另一間課室等個別interview.
問題如下:
1.你叫咩名?
2.幾多歲?
3.今日邊個同你嚟呀?
4.指眼耳口鼻.
5.最後指個口,miss就問囡囡:咁你個口用嚟做乜架?
6.擺咗一個toothbrush,一條毛巾,一個匙羹喺面前,再攞個碗出嚟,問囡囡食飯要用乜架?
7.攞一張有紅黃藍三個花(定係雲呢?我諗係花啩)嘅圖出嚟,問顏色,然後再將同顏色嘅積木擺在個花上面.
8.將車,船和飛機配對番落幅圖度.
9.叫囡囡將幾個圈圈串埋一齊,串到好似一串鎖鏈咁.
跟住就問我:
1.平時邊個照顧囡囡?
2.囡囡响屋企多數玩乜?
跟住比貼紙圖囡囡,就finished啦!

未interview 既家長放心, st. cat 既面試內容一d 都唔深, 比st. nicholas 同york 都易, 我小朋友全部做晒同答晒, 問題係st. cat 收生準則係咪只睇小朋友表現而決定呢?! 大家保持平常心吧!!

我今朝都in咗英普班, 普通話面試大約如下:
老師叫小朋友將雙手伸出來, 然後老師拿出花朵, 蘋果和小鴨, 叫小朋友將小鴨給媽咪, 然後又拿張圖出來教小朋友讀, 小狗, 玩具及香蕉, 然後問家長家中有無和她說普通話, 然後就可以離開了!

Yes, All Parents,
We just do our best, hand over the rest to God.
Our kids are just 2 years old, sometimes, it's really difficult to predict/ control how they react esp in a new environment.

我個女比較緊張,佢肯答問題又followed instructions,但要佢扣嘢時有些困難,睇到佢緊張仲跌咗個扣落地,最後佢都完成咗(我以為佢會放棄),又好彩老師好有耐性等埋佢做!
中途佢又望隔離interview嘅小朋友,所以我諗老師會覺得佢不專心. 當咁多人爭位,我諗勝算不大!
等待interview都係考驗,小朋友要有耐性. 我見有小朋友情緒不好,爸爸帶哄唔掂,我估照顧者帶會好d.
未in的努力!

St.Cat put Jan - Sept bb belongs to big b. As I heard interview questions for small b will be a bit easier, that is why I asked all bb interview today is big b or not?

I feel the same here. I attended the interview with my girl this morning, and she felt uncomfortable with the interviewer, who is quite mean. My girl was doing quite good in mock exams but she didn't perform well enough today. Anyway, I hope she can enjoy the coming interviews. Gook luck!

don't worry that my friend's son also not good performance in 2007's interview as he can't identify the colours and only 1yr10mth & studied there now. so i think the content for small b will be more easier than the big one.

Hi, coriejungfrau,
in the fact, i think that my husband didn't like this school already. he said some staffs arrange the parents for interview like "you, the one who wear the yellow don't stand here, please near to ....." the voice not very nice (but york, sn , stafford & yau yat chuen.....kgs with very nice teachers & staff)
and i want to tell you something, on sept. 11, the first day received the applications, i pick up the letter by hand and stand outside school and want ask the teacher I forgot to bring a plain envelope to put the document inside. and then request her to collect my application. and she very mean to said please read our instructions correctly/again and put it into our mail box outside and we will not collect your document now.
i think they are very impolite because too many applications every years.

各位家長用平常心去面試就得啦!因為都好睇小朋友心情,我個仔今日interview 完全玩晒野,入去第一間房玩玩具就係咁問我走得未,淨係睇其他小朋友玩,自己又唔玩.....唉!到第二間房老師佢叫佢用手指一指眼睛係邊佢又掛住攪身上個貼字,老師叫佢幾次都唔應,我都成個人down晒....只可以睇下有無"奇蹟"出現會收佢,今日當係見識一下,下間interview再準備好D啦!

Sure this is a good kindergarten with many native speaking teachers and the interview progress is running smoothly and efficiency, it reflects their administration works are doing well.
However, I feel some interviewer is a bit cool and not allow the applicant to stay at school for a while to see all around. It impressed me this is a very commercial school.

When i went to interview this afternoon, i found most BB are Big BB. (they are tall and oversize comparing to my BoBo. I believe a few of them should be Year 06 BB. )
At that time, i have no pressure because it is not possible for my BoBo to compete with them. By the way, my BoBo has a good job already even chances is less.
I finally understand why this happens...
My BoBo is Sept BB, compete with those Big B!

我諗我明白你先生點解咁諗，其實in我女果個老師幾好笑容，好有經驗...
但當我女將黃色車講成黃色的士時，佢竟然回應:
哈哈，你係邊見個黃色的士呀，我未見過喎，你媽咪一定無帶你坐過的士啦...
走時呀女拉完椅同佢講Bye Bye,佢回應:
你笑住再同我講一次Bye Bye!
因為個老師幾壓場，呀女有點緊張，笑唔出，但呀女都用手指指下面珠心，做左個哈哈笑樣，呀女好盡力，我好感動，但有點唔舒服:(
我好sure呢個老師會幾effective教到小朋友嘢，我只是有點迷惘......

I remember both parents sat with our girl during her interview at KV, she is now in K3.
I guess contents wise not much has changed since my girl as now taking my boy thru the Kinder interviews. Albeit schools are more experienced and standardize questions and activities to assist with selection.
Content usually contain basic words and knowledge (family members, color, shapes, animals, etc.). Good if your kid can communicate his intentions in gesture or full sentences. Follow simple instructions.
Kids performance is also important - quick to react, good manners, etc. (Although, my boy at his first interview didn't even look at teacher as he was so afraid, but they offered him a place. In 2 other interviews my boy reactions were really fast - teachers almost said yes.)
Motor skills - building blocks, use of spoon, putting different shapes in holes, holding pens, etc.
Parents - one not working and can spend time with kid is also important.
Big or small kid, I don't think matters too much. My girl is small girl she had almost all offers from her kinder interviews and boy is big boy so far 3/3. Boy interview at SC tomorrow.
Whatever kinder your kid ends up going, I am sure all kids will have great and fruitful live with all the love, care and attention given to them.

don't be upset, as many mami here mentioned that the questions in sc were more easier than other kgs & very short interview timing as the time is very rush to in thousands of kids.
hope you will get the offer. for the important, sc will accept small b

Yes, I applied SN and York also, and both are accepted my son to be AM class.
We went St. Cath interviewed at 14:15, same questions as yours, but I totally forget when the run down goes on, as I just concentrate is looking around in school and observe my son's behaviour...
Finally, as a review by myself, my performance also is not really good, I and my son both under not really good conditions.. And I already give up the seat at SN..hope I am not select wrong way..

係"流水作業式"的，一入去就即開始 interview process，一關關咁過，周圍都有很多老師引路，有說英文的、廣東話的、普通話的 - 我都要"轉台"轉得快而準，中間等候時間約不過最多數分鐘，沒有太多多餘時間給你喲。我估你想 warm-up 和睇環境，相信時間真的不多。
話雖如此，不過對 in 英普的小朋友來講，過關過到最後，要他們能可以保持到最佳狀態，在那樣的環境我覺得真係不一定得。

我老公今日都帶左亞囝去 in, 佢話都幾順暢, 唔使等好耐, 不過我囝係第一part 玩好似lego 果時應該衰左, 佢唔比爸爸幫佢砌高, 又唔比其他小朋友掂果d 玩具...

我家小公主剛開始分組玩玩具的時候因為同組的小朋友哭，一直八卦的看著那個小朋友。in英文的時候不太肯回答，只是偶爾出聲，但都算是能跟著外籍教師的指令做。最後in普通話的時候大概等得太久有些累了，老師讓她做甚麼她都不做，我真是急死了，因為都是些很簡單的指令和問題，可是她居然一個字都不肯答。只是很有意思的看著老師，我覺得那眼神就是，我知道但是就是不告訴你的意思。後來老師裝生氣，很嚴厲的對她說，如果你不做，老師會很生氣哦，她馬上就做了。老師很無奈的說了一句，原來你喜歡被人逼的，之後的問題一概都是如果老師笑著很溫柔的問她，她就不做，非得要老師兇起來才做。好在最後老師說了一句，希望明年能在學校見到你。雖然是客氣的話，但是至少讓我不那麼擔心老師是真的生氣了。

For our point of view only, SN is too old and small... since we receive confirmation letter in same day, those KG we applied in kln tong are provides bilingual language, so I only can compare with York right now (as just need to compare with the school that have accepted), for us, we like more foreigners in school that able to provide the only environment for English. But I also struggle a long time ka.. because their interview questions are the most details and complicate compared with others we did. And my son perform the excellent in SN, that let me think about - 得來不易.

兩個月前唔會同陌生人講嘢，自己名都唔講，兩個月後邊個問佢都講，我諗我有點好彩，唔知佢係大左定要多謝佢PN老師...

亞女整扣時,整唔到,我見佢有d心急,又分心望隔籬枱,我只叫佢專心整扣,佢好緊張仲跌咗1個扣落地,我全程冇guide佢點做,個老師樣子有d惡,不過冇出過1句聲只係望住亞女整扣,咁我當然冇出聲.

我都係尋日in 1:45pm, 但點知尋日囡囡一早7:30am就起左身, 我都知大鑊喇, 因為平時返pn佢都8:30am先起身, 2pm到就要訓, 今次早咁多起身, 到1:45pm肯定會好攰, 跟住又怕會塞車, 所以1:15am已到學校, 但係囡囡上車一陣已經訓左, 仲扯埋鼻寒, 我同我老公你眼望我眼, 我老公就話算啦, 都冇辦法, 唯有睇佢自己做化啦, 去到泊左後面條街俾囡囡訓多陣, 1:30pm到就叫醒佢, 佢仲發脾氣, 比著我都發啦, 跟住全程發呆, 仲要唔肯自己行, 要人抱, 去到見到已經有人排隊, 前後左右既都好似係大b, 真係比我囡囡高成個頭, 望完人地再睇返自己囡囡, 簡直就成個bb咁, 仲扒左係daddy到, 呆呆滯滯咁, 個心真係涼左一大截! 應該都係陪跑多! 跟住排隊入去, 初頭group play既時候我只係見到個老師係咁易同d小朋友講2句, 都冇咩mark到野咁, 可能只係睇下小朋友會唔會爭野玩, 不過因為張枱都算大, 而且都好多lego, 所以大部份小朋友都係自己玩, 唔會爭野。跟住interview既時候, 因為我大肚, 所以d staff俾左張高chair我坐, 但係我囡囡講野超細聲, 好多我都聽唔到, 所以好緊張又心急, 又要烏低身聽佢講咩, 攪到我全程傻笑, 勁樣衰! 有一條問隻狗係咩, 囡囡就答係"roadroad", 跟住個老師係咁追問"roadroad"咩呀? 我知佢想囡囡答係狗, 因為面試班老師講過interview時老師唔會想小朋友講bb話, 所以叫我同佢介左佢, 講返單字, 可惜"roadroad"已經講左太耐, 有時佢又會講狗, 但有時又會講返"roadroad"! 而且我又超緊張, 根本唔知應該點提佢, 所以只係坐左係到呆左! 好彩老師追問左幾次囡囡突然答狗狗, 咁我先relax返d! 其實我覺得我既表現仲差過個囡, 因為我坐高左, 睇唔到佢既表情, 加上自己又緊張, 真係勁出羊相, 但係好攪笑, 問完問題個老師突然又伸隻手出黎講give me five, 咁我又對囡囡講give me five, 跟住拎起佢隻手拍落去講yeah! 走既時候佢叫囡囡拍返張chair, 囡囡都有拍, 因為我起身慢, 所以個老師仲行埋出黎, 又對囡囡講, 你對鞋好靚喎, 可唔可以話俾老師對鞋係邊, 我心諗早知就快d起身走啦, 因為驚佢越問越多囡囡會唔耐煩, 好彩囡囡都識指! 不過可能囡囡expect老師送糖, 但只係送左貼紙, 所以唔係幾開心, 收到都冇講多謝, 要我提佢佢先講, 仲要係望住張貼紙講! 老師就係咁叫佢望住老師講多謝, 老師講左5-6次佢先望左老師一眼講多謝!所以我都唔會expect成功, 只當拎個經驗 !

Thanks for disclosing the SC interview content and my son had his interview at 1:45pm on Saturday!! All thanks to you, it went smoothly. Even if he did not get the offer from SC, I feel very proud of him and I feel no regret as we had done our best to prepare for the interview!!
I have to learn that there are so many things that are beyond our control and I have to learn to accept whatever will come gladly!!
My son will also have his interview for KV next Sunday and Victoria on 21 Nov too.
