Any comment even though i belongs to wanchai district. The DSS may not be the first priority. How is the chance to Marymount?

15分搏marymount, chance係0
第2輪...........好難中! 我女果時成間學校得一個中 (幾諷刺, 間幼稚園o係灣仔區, suppose好多學生係區內人, 但中左果一個係住南區借12網地址)
如果無私校打底, 一係我會揀st frances或者st paul catholic, 放棄marymount, 我唔會就咁搏lor
至於註唔註冊直資...........你自己考慮下喇
(溫馨提示, 好多直資今日放棄左, 6月係返唔到轉頭既)

我不太明白这个逻辑。如果一心想等大抽奖进到某一间学校，又觉得现在的直资没有那么好，那为什么去考这所直资呢?

因爲就算12本網，入唔入到大熱0個間都好危，咪要用直資打底囉。

问题是那间直资不会等你到那时候。若果为第一轮打底，这个大家都明白，但为大抽奖打底，好像是说不通的。请各位指教指教。

同意,直資通常這個時間開始offer,而一accept offer就沒有機會入你心儀的津貼學校,可來打底

如果你真心要入Marymount,而接受了直資,那只有叩門,成功機會比大抽獎(同區)還要低,那可來打底?

唔同你的打算是直資擺你在top waiting list上,唔比offer,等可以參加大抽獎的情況下,6月份唔得時也可以叩直資的機會率大?

但難度很大,等於考試,目標不是考第一,而一定要考第13.

如果要打底for津貼學校,那應該申請私校,而不是DSS

如果大抽獎結果, 保証稱心如意既, 家長就唔駛咁頭痕(仲有人俾錢讀私校/直資既?!)
弊在遊戲就係咁玩, 所以個個都15,16
ziyi講得岩, 想打底, 應該考私校, 唔係直資, 否則收左咪煩lor!
順帶講句, marymount本身20分都要抽, 即係話, 好多舊生女女都入唔到(適齡+舊生, 非首名子女), 去到叩門時, 呢d applicant一定比街外人著數, 而且睇過去數字, 除非小朋友真係非常標青, 否則好大機會連interview機會都唔會有, 所以想用叩門入marymount, 唔好抱太大希望

Could anyone share what is the key element in getting a chance for "knocking door", and how to get a higher chance to be selected?

1. Many awards in the portfolio?
2. Family background?
3. Performance in interview? How is it conducted?
4. Outstanding school report?

key element 就係 --- 識人。跟本無interview，一收電話就叫你去register。

不過今年(09/10年度)開始唔知，因為有個新既Special Admissions Scheme。

你個幾點都唔係你話有就有的....隨心隨綠啦.......早幾年聽過都會揀有award&成績好既學生,不過而家就唔知啦

thanks all for your advice. Finally I give up the direct allocation (ie. Marymount) with 15pts. I think a lot of parents enrolled different private or DSS because of their own teaching methods or other school factors. That DSS may be at my least priority only due to its location which is a bit far from our home.

However, given the limited chance to Marymount and no other response from the other private school or DSS, we decided to have the registration. Thanks all for your information.
