Hi brima,

Yes, one parent is invited and the teachers will ask whoever played to the children most of the time should join the interview. I was being asked three times before I manage to enter the classroom, since I told them I am the one who played with my daughter the most. I think they may expected mother should be the one playing with the children mostly, but not the father.

Anyway, children starts with a ball passing game in group while being asked questions. After that, they will be asked to sit down and play a toy and for more questions. Parents at this stage will also be interviewed too.

I have read most of your threads on BK and also have visited your blog. BTW Sacred Heart is also my no. 1 choice for my daughter but unfortunately i live in NT therefore only could dream about applying to SH. But I see that you also live in Kln side, therefore would like to kindly ask approx what % of yr daughters classmate live in Kowloon as well? And also worry if the school will not accept students that live so far away. What do you think?

Hi JJKat,

Don't worry too much if Sacred Heart is your first choice. I can't tell exactly how many percent of my daughter's classmates are from Kowloon side, but there should be more than a few. Many like us are living as far as Sham Cheng, Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi.

Good luck and you will get fair assessment for your application.

Thank you for your reply. Now finding out that some students does actually live this far I will definitely apply and will not miss this chance!

Just a general question: do you think a student that lives closer to the school will have greater chance over a student that lives far? Would a student living close to SH have a bigger chance over a student living in NT? I am not sure if I am thinking too much but I have heard students in HK Island go to school in KLN Tong and vice versa. The reason I ask this is because my daughter's grandma lives in HK South side, therefore thinking if I should use her address to apply instead.

Lastly, thank for your help, appreciate that.

Don't worry too much and I won't encourage anyone to lie on their application form.

Your home address is not relevant to the consideration of your daughter's application.

i agreed with ian, it would be embarass if the child is asked where she lives and she replies with an answer differs with what stated in the application form.
