I called to the school just now. The lady told me that all OK letters will be sent out next week. If you cannot receive any letters by next Fri......so sorry....I am very nervous too....

Last year they did call the parents and then followed by a letter, right? Just like SPCC. Anyone knows will they do so this year? Or only letters will be sent?

I also asked them if the school will make any calls in advance of the letter and the lady said they did it for last year but still no instruction if they will do the same this year...

Ming88, thank you for your update! Ai, I think my boy did well in the interview for SPCC but finally no 2nd int for him. For DBS, I think he didn't perform well. Things always happen NOT in the way you expect. Hope there will be surprise from DBS..

Their general line is 3159 4200. So don't hang up on those calls from 3xxx xxxx or shout at them thinking that they are sales calls.

i just heard from a parent that she knows someone who has already received a letter from dbs this morning for the 2nd interview. anyone here also got the letter this morning?

其實好多學校(包括名校) 都會係 1st in 時講埋幾時公佈 2nd 結果!

現在搞到d 家長等之餘.....仲要搞到一d人話收到 2nd in call + 有 d 又話school 未通知....

If my memory is correct, we received the letter on 8/11 (Sat) and the phone call a week later.

有家长话Nov16是2nd in的第一天，照理来说，也应该这个星期发信通知。起码，有份2nd in的家长可能都有兴趣参与他们的school fete.
不过，听讲学校真的到现在还没发信。

I fully understand all your nervousness. For your info-

LAST YEAR (pls note, it's last year I am referring to not this year, so don't panic): -

- we received the 2nd interview letter on 8 Nov,
- Sch Fete was on 9 Nov
- follow up call from school was on 13 Nov.
- my son's interview was on either 24 or 25 Nov (cant' remember exact date).

For 2nd interview, it's also according to your application number, so the earlier your application number, the earlier the 2nd round interview date.

Given 2nd round will start on 16 Nov and sch fete is this coming Sun, if last year's time table is anything to go by, you should get the letter latest by this Friday!

I don't think the language for interview will affect the result. For your info - we used 100% Cantonese in the 2nd interview.

i think no letter is better than reject letter cos we are too hurt to see the reject letter.

Parents left the room

Boy was sent back to parents after 5 - 10 minutes!

checked with a couple of friends whose elder sons are currently studying in DBS. They have not received anything yet.

I wonder what trick the school is playing.

Based on Chatterbox's last year's experience, it is likely that the letter, if any, will be received by Friday/Saturday. Then, it is still in line with what the office has told some of us - "letters will be sent within this week.".
