Justforfunmama, what's the interview date of your daughter? Mine is Nov 6. Let's share after the interview. Not sure if parents have to meet with Mrs. Dai.

Congrats to SC moms! Don't worry. DGJS does not favour CCKG only. There are a lot of SC girls in DGS. My daughter is now in P.2. Good luck to you all!

A friend of mine also got the 2nd interview chance as well. she is not from St Catherine. She does not have prizes/certificate as she said she didn't submit any attachment. Her character is talkative and pay attention. Really have no clues on the selection criteria... maybe all depends on the interview performance on that day....

I've only heard 8 girls from SC so far... Seems like SPK got higher chance as there are only 180 girls in SPK vs. 350 girls in SC...

SPK 有男仔讀,每班如果有三個 x 6 =18. SPK 女仔只剩162 個.
每年除了有人考到DGJS,亦有人考到 St Paul Co Edu.到六月 SPK waiting list 通常一定入到 St. Paul's Convent School (Primary Section)

There were also another 5 girls from SPN (St. Paul's Nursery) being accepted by DGJS last year. Believing or not, a lot of people say in recent years Mrs. Dai likes to accept SPK / SPN girls due to their good performance at school (not only in English, but also in Chinese and Putonghua). Besides, I also heard that quite a lot of SPK / SPN students have received the 2nd interview letter this year (considering that not all the students from SPK / SPN would apply for other schools after they got the offer from SPC at around Sept, the successful rate is really quite high).

I understand that the no. of girls being accepted by St. Pauls' Co-ed has also been increasing in recent years.

i will plan to put my little girl in SPK instead of other kinder. At least, girl will have back up for P1 and have higher chance to getinto other famout Primary school. No wonder, it was so hard to get into SPK/SPN.

my friend's girl now in SPK, she got in 2nd interview as well.

根據過去data, st cat每年約有大約一班(30人)左右入dgjs / dbjs. 比例上不算多.
我女兒在st cat 羅福道讀, 有2nd in.
她也是talkative的人

My girl is in P2 as well. Maybe, they're friends! I don't know the exact no. of SC graduates in P.2, but should be well over 20. As I already know about 17-18 girls when we entered P.1 last year, and then my daughter from time to time told me she met new friends graduating from SC. So, a logical guess is around 30 SC girls in P.2. It has been said that traditionally CCKG and SC each occupy 1/3 in DGJS. However, I don't know the P.1 figure this year.

Heard from a SC teacher that there are 2-3 girls from each class being offered 2nd int, of course some classes (only very few) have none. As SC has 27 classes (I think), there would be over 50 SC girls shortlisted for 2nd int.
