My boy cannot tell me what happened in his 2nd interview today. He just mentioned that he met two Ms. Wong - one of them was the principal. Is there any parents can let me know?

my boy told me he didn't remember anything except puzzle, writing his own name. started with a group of 3 kids, then suddenly all other kids came inside and they played. good strategy to brainwash the kids...

kids have very short term memory and the schools really know how to make use of that. anyway, I am glad my son has 2nd interview but being accepted, let God decides-very competitive.

It hard to ask them what has been asked.

My son told me he has to find difference and he told me it was very difficult......
Since my son is the last interview group, there is only 3 of them and no big group playing.

我個仔尋日in完，佢話首先三個小朋友一組，有問佢地來學校沿途有嘜野係啡色，我個仔話樹枝，木櫈同雜梅糖！然後要寫自己中文名和英文名，都有喜洋洋的找不同，介紹自己。英文係問佢有關海灘的，但他己忘記了，然後一組人見校長，校長叫佢地找積木上有2個f字的拿出來。但佢又話唔使搶答喎，問左佢几次都話係老師輪住一個一個咁問。其實以上有d係我睇到有d家長講我再問佢佢先話有！！

Yes, they just changed the prinicple.........
But I am not sure about the turnover rate of teachers

呢個係第3個校長, 第一個係陳梁淑貞(創校校長), 做左3年去左落後地區教細路仔, 前年返香港去左救恩做, 陳梁淑貞走時, 升左其中一個副校長--任校長上去, 任校長亦做左3年校長, 上年完約時決定唔續約, 返左母校做校長
staff turnover方面, 新直資學校turnover一般都比較高, 因為傳統津校聽講d p-fund好勁的, 老師唔會隨便轉工, 但新直資工作係比較heavy, 而老師亦無p-fund呢樣"牽掛", 所以轉工會易d
早2年, hkuga學費由1650加到1800, 講明係加老師人工留人才, 大家都好支持(講真$150又唔係多), 之後staff turnover都低左好多, 一年約有8-10個走啦(包括有d合約制老師)

校長無公開交代母校名稱, 只講係九龍一間津校, 恕我唔o係度公開了

上次八月份簡介會上,如果我無聽錯的hit是一間在西九龍那邊,基督教背景

其實即是那間我都不知道,只知道做了很久,而且離開的原因是想專心她的碩士/博士學位而已

上星期日去2nd in時, 雖然一早知道唔需要in父母, 但係見到不少父母踢住沙灘拖或crocs鞋赴會, 呢個情景係其他學校first in都未見過...

我好欣賞任校長，通常係一間名校去另一間名校，步步高升嘛！

我想她母校只是一間普通小學，2009/10仲縮到只有兩班，任校長加油呀！

即係同以往一樣, 有accept, 有top waitlist, 有waitlist
以我所知, 真係好少reject的(我估second round無去, or真係表現好唔得lor)
我都唔知top waitlist有幾多, "傳說中"係十幾個(掛?)
waitlist都唔駛擔心, 加油! 我女當年都係waitlist入的, 真係對學校有興趣, 寫多幾封信去, 有機架!

一定有人release 個位冇去註冊的。我當年有結果時不是top waitlist, 反而係話處理中, 但係BK有人話已accepted。不過兩日後就有港同的職員打電話來說收仔仔了, 我第二日已去註冊了(星期六)。所以一定有希望的。

hi Charlotte_mom/iwff/all, i am very upset that my son didn't get accepted but in the waiting list

. i won't let my son see my unhappy face as i truely believe he did his best. maybe it's my fault that i didn't prepare him well enough. we have done our best to get the best school for our kids. i really really hope some spaces can be released after the 1st round allocation-end Nov. in the meantime, i will keep on enduring those sleepless nights

我咪已經一個真人示範俾你睇: waitlist叩門真係得的, 我大女都係普通waitlist, 我都花左好多時間心機去叩門
港同係好多人首選, 亦有其他好多人志不在此, 如果家長真係覺得學校理念配合, 誠意分總會count
真係想入既, 俾心機寫信, 唔係門面果d, 真係講出心裡感受, 我相信校長真係睇的, 唔好放棄!

What is more important at this moment is always have the 不死既心 (if hkuga is your 1st choice), 唔到最後一刻都唔好放棄, 我地個仔女就只係靠我地, 唔好理有幾多chance, 0.1%都係叫做有chance, 就係去行動, 做我地要做既事, 如Chalotte Mom說寫信,always call school to keep track of the progress, 沮喪完後再次振作, 加油呀~

however, we must believe that our kids already did their best as they are 5 years old only.  just ask yourself, you can perform better than them when you were at the same age?  my answer is absolutely NOT.  i could not talk in English or even spell the words of 'lizard, giraffe, crocodile....'

anyway, thanks a lot for the kind advices from Charlotte mom and iwff.  I deeply wish that Charlotte mom's son can get the offer finally as I believe '好人有好報'.

My son was accepted by HKUGA, GT and EC. After serious consideration, we will accept the offer from GT only and decided to give up both HKUGA and EC. We'd like to give place to those waiting list candidates.

Now, there'll be at least one place available for those top waiting list. I believe HKUGA will contact you shortly to arrange for the registration on next Wed.

由10月叩到7月, 真係一d都唔好受, 寫信, 寄profile, 搵幼稚園寫推薦信, 搏大霧企o係學校門口扮家長, 不停update學校, 試過想放棄了, 心唸都唔知人地有無睇, 但到最後收到電話果一刻, 覺得再辛苦再無面都係值得!

學校每年都會有插班生的, 每級每班1-2個, 若真的想讀港同將來可以一試。不過我相信陸續有人會放棄註冊港同的, 因另有選擇或大抽獎, 所以waiting list 都要繼續努力叩門呀!

Yes, you can register for Kai Wan and knock the door for HKUGA , process both ways at the same time.

你可以繼續process政府派位, 有位的話一樣可以註冊, 同時去心儀私校同直資(包括hkuga)叩門
但一但有直資收, 你又去註冊, 就要即時簽承諾書放棄政府派位(無論當時派到咩階段, ie未有位就唔會繼續process, 有位亦要即時放返出黎)
