Does anyone of you receive the interview invitation for ESF year 1 ?

Can you share some information ?

The ESF school teachers will visit the kinder in Dec/Jan and ofer interview for those shortlisted.

As I know that they will distribute the interview letter before end of Nov. but i am not sure also for Cat. two or not?

all applicants, whether in category 1 or 2, will receive letters by late Nov from ESF primary schools

any parents applied for Beacon Hill School? It is weird that when i called BHS 2 days ago, they replied me that they will only inform parents about the interview at the end of Dec. I asked if it should be end of Nov instead of Dec, they still said it will be end of Dec. Any parent knows why?

Any parent also know the nos. of applications for BHS this year?

it's strange, because on the email from the ESF centre on acknowledgement receipt of our ESF applications, also indicate parents will be informed by late November.

they already tell you on the email that your child will be selected for interview? like the one from RC?

my frd applied to QBS also no emails yet

checked with CWBS, they won't send out emails but just letters (sent out today)

no they did not indicate whether we will be granted an interview, they just mentioned that they "will shortly be sending out letters regarding your child's enrolment". So i do not know whether we can have interview or not at this moment.

i guess as a WKS ESF kinder parent, u will have no problem for granting an interview. Only risk is that BHS only has 3 classes and there are so many Cat.1 applicants in front of you...

Got an interview invitation email from SJS on 20-11. My son has offered an interview in Jan. It will be a group "play"style interview.

Same here, is your child in Cat 1 or Cat2? As my kid is in Cat 2, the KJS letter already mentioned that will be put in the waiting list even having a successful interview. So it's all by luck to get in to KJS.

Hi Cocobean,

Got your PM, I think I'm just going to answer it here.

According to the lady that called late Friday afternoon last week, "there have been some movements", those are the exact words she used. To my understanding it means that there have been some people giving up their applications/interviews, so they are now offering more interviews, but she said we are only being interviewed for a waitlist place. As she said, it will at least move us a bit closer.

In any case, AISHK has already accepted my son for their prep class in the coming January so the EFS schools (RC and CWBS) will only become our backups in case we don't like AISHK for any reason before August.

You don't get to choose which school you want to go to. You will just send your application to the central ESF office and they will assign you to a school according to where you live.

The only exceptions are Renaissance College and Discovery College, which you can apply separately.

non-cantonese speaking family is also Cat.1, such as Mainland China, Taiwan, Thai, Korean, Japanese, etc. In the other word, only Cantonese family is Cat. 2.

That why there are so many Cat. 1.

My child is Cat 2. He got accepted by WKS kinder, but just I didn't go for it in this year (he will be starting in K2). So does it means I can also apply ESF primary and also RCHK?
