In the district of Island East, there are some I know:

a) Nice Education (around Fort Street)

b) Ready to Learn (around AIA /Manulife Bldg - 183 Electric Rd.) (I tried this some years ago) - small class & have their own system with speaking, listening & writing. But the level of writing is based on the level the kid is taking. It can be varies......

c) Jack & Jill Treehouse (in both Kornhill & Taikoo) ( I used this in the last 3 years) - small class with native English speaking teachers. Focus on writing. Pretty good & give you a report every half year. They also have a centre in Mid-Levels.

P.S. My girl just starts her secondary school life & too busy in her new life. That's why she is not taking Jack & Jill any more.

In the writing course, the kids can interact with the NES teacher (good for speaking & listening) & they can learn & practise (include the grammar) in the class.

In my experience, the grammar is straightforward & I use the materials found in the book to teach my girl. It may not be needed to take a course for grammar - but the writing can really practise this & help the kids understand & use it. Without practices, the kids can never learn the grammar & know how to use in the class / exercises....
