I received an application no. A6xx today, I sent out application last Wednesday. Does that mean at least 6xx applicants? Or roughly how many applicants each year? Just want to know the chance for getting admitted. thanks

Just received the notice from school, the school will extend the interview to 17/10 , that means the number of application may more than last years!!!!

Oh oh. I sent out my application on last Wednesday and then received interview time this sunday pm. Only 3 days before my submission date, my friend's kid has been put to interview time this sunday but 9am. There must be influx of huge no. of applications submitted right before the deadline. cool.

BTW, could you please advise me no. of applications rec'd last year?

For P1 , it only accept 99 children each year . I am not sure the number of applicant, but it seem to be more than last year.

I've asked a teacher when my kid was interviewing, there is about 1000 applicants this year. Last year was about 800.

So it's about 1 out of 10-11 will be admitted.

From the numerical data, it seems that it isn't as difficult as other private schools/DSS.

However, most of the applicants are of relatively good background, so the competition, in fact, is very keen.

Well, just wonder that why don't they accpet more than 99 student. I think they have enough resource to do so.

I think the class size limited to 33-34 is already quite large for current standard (due to low birth rate in HK). Unless the school runs more classes, otherwise, there is not much room for expansion. By doing this, however, it may involve higher marginal costs than marginal benefits. Hence, in my opinion current school size is quite desirable.

in fact, the # of students they will accept is only 2 classes - around 60+. 1 class is reserved for siblings, alumni, etc...so, the competition is very fierce.

Hi Bobee,
Where can you get this informatons? My son apply G1 this year, and I am very worry about him beacuse he was not very well on the interview day.

On the day of interview, almost all the school head including the principal and all the English teachers were in the waiting hall. So I don`t think the interveiw performance is decisive factor.

it's from my friend that have 2 kids studying there. she helped out in the open day and pretty sure the info is quite correct. unless less siblings/alumni applying this year. still i think the competition is less than DBS, dGS, TSL, SPC, etc...

It is understandable that they will leave more seats for siblings / alumni. For the normal people applying this school i.e. not siblings / alumni, what will be the determining factors e.g. interview performance or Portfolio ?
