Any comment on today interview? Do you think the school have enough time to access the student, just about 20 mins for a group?

my son attended the interview today. 10 in a group playing blocks and story telling. the teacher asked the children to use the blocks to build the same shape as the sample. he also asked the children to tell him a story after reading the story cards. my son said the teachers didn't even ask anything about him. anyone wants to share more? when we will be notified about the result for 2nd interview?

My son is also interview today...my son explain to me same as Candid said, i try to ask some people who work in school when will have the result, but NOBODY answer my question, just say, we'll inform you either reject or accept LATER....but i'm not sure whether i can't find the right person to ask or any reason else..

My son told me that the teacher asked him to build lego (out of his imagination) and then asked him to introduce this piece of lego to the teacher. He didn't mention that he has to follow a sample. I'm quite afraid that he has misunderstood the instructions.

My son has told me that when they sat on chairs to wait, he was beaten by a boy sitting next to him (the boy used a fist to hit his forehead). But all teachers were busy and no teacher noticed that. Oh with such kind of bad behaviour, I hope that naughty boy would not be admitted because my son told me that naughty boy did quite well in the story telling. I wonder why this school did not observe boys' behaviour and take into account in the scores.

But I was glad that my son was able to remain calm, did nothing and said nothing to the boy. I've praised him for his good EQ.

same as all of you. the teacher didn't ask my kid any question other than the lego presentation and story telling. he told me that all the kids did very well for the part of story telling.

The result will be out on Oct 9th(for the 1st round interview, by mail) as mentioned in the 收據. Very soon, 2 weeks time.

My son said that they have to assemble things based on blocks. For the story telling part, he claimed a lot of kids cannot answer just like him.

We are unrelated, and I believe the chance is low.

根據仔仔講番比我知 :-

一個班房有 2 組人, 每組 6 個小朋友喺一張枱, 有 4 個老師, 一個企前面, 一個企後面, 跟住每組一個老師, 先砌 lego, 佢砌咗一座大廈, 但未砌完, 另外一個小朋友砌酒店, 所以我估係自由發揮. 之後就老師講一個故事, 然後小朋友輪住自己再講.

我唔知仔仔有冇講錯, 但如果係咁, 我覺得佢哋有老師去觀察每位小朋友既表現.

我係冇任何關係既, 所以都係以平常心去比仔仔試吓.

I think very normal child can do the same blocks and story-telling.

How can you fully access a child if wearing a facemask?! I think it is diffcult for the teacher to hear clearly what a child say.

I think the interviewing process is not serious enough, may be too many applicants, may be 收自己人囉 !

do yoo think the school had already in mind who is going to be accepted before the interview?

唔係呀, 仔仔話講故事時係除咗個 mask, 講完再戴番嫁

oh, my child said the teacher did not ask them to put off the masks, so all the children in that class telling story with their masks !!

我阿囝話首先6人一組, 有一個老師坐主席位, 然後叫佢地砌lego, 限時2分鐘 (自由發揮), 之後有另一位老師講故仔, 講完咗要每位小朋友個個重新說, 我唸係考紀性同表達. 仲有要除mask呀. Good luck to all of us!

Children's performance is important/behaviour is important but I think more or less the school will also base on the information that we provided on the application form. Truly speaking, I quite like this style of interview, no pressure to both children and parent.

Agree. My little boy said the teachers are very nice

My son said the same. He said he still remember the teacher held his hand from the classroom until walking down to the hall. He was conducted the interview on Sat.

We attended on Monday morning. Hope we can get a chance for the 2nd interview

We were there on last Sat. Quite impressed, the procedure and flow was very smooth. The Principal and the teachers look friendly and nice and the kids look smart.

My boy told me they have 2 mins to play the lego and thereafter the teacher will tell them a story and ask one by one to tell the story. May I know if anyone know the teacher told the story in English or Chinese? I just knew that all of the boys told the story in Cantonese and no questions were being asked. Seems no pressure for the kids.

Exactly the same! The story was told in Cantonese and no question asked the kids.

我小朋友in既形式同大家講既一模一樣，不過其實只係得15-20分鐘咁短，個個小朋友既表現又差不多，到底老師用咩準則黎揀300個入2nd in既小朋友呢？

My son also attended interview at SPC last Saturday morning, he told me they were asked to build something of their choice with lego blocks, the teacher then asked him what he built but there was no story telling, I hope he didn't misunderstood what the teacher had asked ......

My boy told me that he was the 2nd last to repeat the story, and he had heard many children repeat telling the same story before his turn.

唔係呀, 我個仔話個故事係講一個小朋友對任何事都好驚, 連去動物園都驚, 之後佢爸爸媽媽諗到一個方法, 就係用一條繩綁住佢手指, 等佢唔好走失, 個小朋友就知道父母好錫佢 lor

The story that I heard from my boy is same as mentioned by good-boy's son re a dirty boy. My son is the first one to tell the story after finished by the teacher.
