We arrived 15mins earlier than the scheduled time and found that there were lots of people waiting outside. Some men dressed up like a groom while others put on dark suits like a real estate salesman.  Felt sorry for these guys as they could'nt do much help apart from just waiting for their wife and daughter to come out.

Anyway, my wife told me that she saw some dads in the interview hall seeking help over the phone from their wife to answer the written questions.  One of them actually took the answer sheet out of the hall and then wrote the answers after consulting the views from wife at the main entrance.  Could you believe that?!  Some mums took out their parenting textbook to answer the 3 written questions.  Just like a open book exam.

After waiting for one hour in cold/hot sweat, I was so happy to see my wife and daughter came out with a cheerful smile on their face.  It seems the interview was as easy as pie.  My daughter told me she did very well (I hope she meant what she said). Let's keep our fingers/legs crossed.  Good luck to all parents and girls.  You might need them.

ut out more sweat than they were on duty. Phew...

Just being curious, what kind of questions that you need to answer?

I am an old girls in secondary section, I can tell you that it is a very good school. If I have a daughter, I will definitely to put her into this school. If you want any information, please let me know.

I hear that the hall was packed with people. Kids had to stand up to answer questions.

My daughter also told me that all questions were very simple. Just draw a picture and answer a few questions. e.g. which animal do you like the most and why? On the other hand, I think it was also given the exam to parent to write down the essay immediately within 20mins.

I think this round is only for testing the parent in order to know the mindset of teaching the children. Good Luck.

So after the first round interview, is it true that we either get accepted or put on waiting list. I hear that the school prefers not to decline offer to applicants at the first stage but rather put all of them on waiting list, it's like giving you a false hope.

They would like to see if you're really want to put your sweetie to Good Hope or not.
After the "lucky draw", you may apply again if you're on waiting list.

佢地會早大約一個星期出信,會出左得個批先,之前幾年都係咁,今年唔知係米又係咁

As I observed, most applicants did not submit the portfolio.

Besides, the interview for the girls was quite brief but parents really needed to answer a one-page questionaire (more like a quiz for the parents).

我覺得唔係,因為上年我答得超簡單,唔駛5分鐘已經寫完,重要有D字唔記得點寫就寫個同音字落去,因為我覺得佢地唔會點睇個張野,過千張點睇呀?真係睇到嘔架,我個profile都超簡單,面試始終最重要係小朋友表現.
