Depends on your child. Some children suit the Kumon methos more, some Enopi is more suitable, and for some children, NEITHER one is suitable.

Kumon is drilling, makes the child beat time, and the exercises are VERY VERY repetitive. So if a child likes routine, same old same old, obedient, likes sitting down to do homework, then it's a good method for you. The child also needs to "CARE" about beating time... wanting to perform better, doing better. (So, typically, I found younger than 8 years old, kind of hard to apply).

Enopi- kind of like Kumon, repetitive exercises, but NO timing. Also, not one a day.... but at your own pace, booklets for the WEEK. One Basic (which is the actual adding, subtracting), and ONE critical, (which makes the child THINK, patterns, and logic).

When my daughter switched from Kumon to Enopi, we saw a huge difference. She suited Enopi much better. I have students who did Enopi first, wasn't challenging for the child, switched to Kumon, enjoyed the timing concept very much.

For some children, neither is effective, some children likes hands on math, and not repetitive....

Enopi's homework is also much more colourful and looks more interesting to younger child.

In my summary, I think Enopi is more suitable for younger kids to start this kind of math lessons, and it's good to have the critical thinking stream.

I heard Enopi English is also very good.
