Agree agree. even though you have this form,the kid may not get the entry as well, it depends on the performance, if you are sure win, then why don't you try to get straight in to the famous DSS but not depends on kindergarten.

I saw the notice on their website
said that all applications
forms already distributed, so I called St. Cat and a staff said that they still processing the application letter and advise me to called next week again.

唔駛咁緊張! 我記得我上年仲用環保信封添(即係舊信封)一樣收到application form, 為咗爭取第一時間寄出, 所以就就地取材, 屋企有乜就用乜. 結果我個囡而家係St.Cat 讀緊K1. Good luck!!

Yes, agreed with cfaye.
Last year, they have about 4000 applications, they spent two whole days for interviews. If they not control the number of applications, I think the applications will be a lot more.
I prefer using this method, rather than going to school in person to get the application form, 咁可能會要通宵排隊.

Don't worry wor. Last year I used the 4x9" envelope and still received the application. So my guess is as long as you are within the quota of interview, you will receive it soon.

The school said all post dated on or before 15Sep09 should have a form.
It is so lucky that it is typhoon NO.8 on 14Sep, then I got the chop on 15Sep.

I called them this morning and the staff told me that I will have the form (fyi, i posted the documents on 11/9). She also said the form will be sent to the parents by end Sep/early Oct Thank God!
Interview will be on 6-7/Nov

My daughter just graduated from SC this summer and I have to say it's a really good school. The teachers are all very caring and they listen to the parents too. My daughter misses the school so much and she is also very equipped for her primary life now. Really hope her little brother can get into this school too.

Yes, it's the number. the number is very busy, keep re-dialing should be fine.
The staff was very patient and polite and will search for your name. This is the thing I like about the school, all staff and teachers are very good. I called another school last week for application information and the staff was so impatient and answered me shortly before I finished my sentence...

St Cat睇小朋友表現多於大仔定細仔, 阿女06年11月尾出世, 依家在St Cat讀K1喇. 佢班同學仔有12月出世.
St Cat 會有大仔班同細仔班, 大仔班人數會多d, 約34人(雙班主任), 細仔有約20人一班(亦係雙班主任).
小女上學大半個月, 各方面都有好大進步, 本人覺得此校物超所值.
大家去interview時會發現st cat嘅老師好有耐性同愛心, 呢d本人係第二間九龍塘有名嘅幼稚園(不指名)見唔到.
好肯定不論大家富或貧(因本人是貧類), st cat會喜愛一d聽話及有禮嘅小朋友.

我係寄register post, 9/11一朝早去寄, 但係都要9/14才收到, 因為9/11睇st cat website既時候唔係好明, 咁好彩又俾我打到去問, 佢話可以郵寄或親自去放入佢地既郵箱, 而且郵寄的話係按收到信既次序來作實, 並非何時寄出! 本來當日都有諗過親自去交, 但係又要接囡囡放學, 一般register post都可以今日寄明天收到, 咁我先至郵寄咋!
仲有, 有時平郵未必係寄失, 因為我試過寄平郵, 仲要係同區, 都要成10日先到呀! 所以各家長下次最好係寄register post, 萬一有d咩事都有個ref no查下丫, 而且冇咁易寄失!

我傻到唔記得咗9月11日上網睇, 晚上剛好有朋友提起我先記得, 膽粗粗星期六攞去學校，原來有個信廂比人入。
今日不停打 咗10 次終於有人聽, check 到9月尾會收到表。
其實我個仔已經係入面讀緊, 以為可以經佢攞表tim (因為有d 幼稚園係咁), 所以我覺得呢間學校又幾公平...

比d信心自己嘅小朋友, 小女都在面試時答錯問題, 以為唔收架喇. 但原來老師唔只睇佢對錯, 仲有睇佢其他表現同家長表現. 最緊要家長盡量不提示, 答錯等老師糾正.
可以講St cat都係教123, abc, 但他們有教學系統, 令怕醜嘅女兒都喜歡上學, 而且更presentable.

Hi lawflorence,
Teachers seems do not like parents assist too much during the interviews.
Last year, during waiting, I saw one mother assisting her girls to answer, and the teacher said "I won't count her answer correctly in this way".
So better wait patiently and let your kid to answer the teacher, the teacher will use their way to help them.
If you really want AM class, then on the application form (when you received later), it will ask you to choose: AM/ PM/ Both. And there is also a question for you the choose : "If AM class is full, will you consider PM class". You can show your preference there.
Both AM and PM class has Eng/PTH classes.
But please note that all K2 are PM classes only.

To give you further info fm my last yr's experience... our interviewer was a matured teacher, she asked questions politely but I won't comment that she used "very kind tone". However, as the interview went on, she became more friendly after my daughter was able to respond to the questions. (eventhough not all w/ correct answers)
So, to me, SC's interview is one that tested the overall ability (including understanding instruction/communicating/interpersonal skill and basic concepts of daily life) of the child and my daughter is now studying at their am class.

Coninuously called the School for at least 15 times, but finally able to reach it. Confirmed with the School that my son could get the application form, and they will mail it out by end of Sept.
Heard that they had received ~5,000 application forms within three days. That means, one out of about 10 kids can only be selected!!!

其實老師在面試時真的很有耐性, 小女都是很shy. 老師問佢眼睛在哪裡, 她不肯答, 老師等了一陣引導佢問, "咁妳媽媽嘅眼睛呢?" 小女才答. 老師個樣都好嚴肅, 但其實真係好細心.

K3 only got am class.
And if you apply for ENG-PTH class, you need to attend one more PTH interview. If not, no PTH interview.

All K2 classes are PM classes, and All K3 classes are AM classes. No more split.
Yes, if you choose interview in Cantonese and apply Eng/PTH, then you will be interviewed by 1 Cantonese teacher and 1 PTH teacher.

As RoxaneMama, my boy also likes going to school. He even said he wants to go to school when he just back home from school.
The curriculum of St. Cat is difficult. My friend gave me the worksheets/ workbooks of K3, it is hard for a kindergarten student. To me, its contents seem for a primary student indeed. So no need to worry about the connection to primary.

Same as Roxane mama, my daughter loves SC so much and she's not willing to switch back to her old nursey school(I'm just kidding to her).
One of my friend shown me a science worksheet of SC's K2 class, it is really not playing type! Its some basic science conepts that even parents may not be able to answer correctly (at least I'm one of them).
I know it sounds like an advertisement, but I really have full confidence in SC's education programme.:loveliness:

今朝她早起, 所以可以先去飲茶才返學, 佢好緊張咁問, "出街呀? 咁仲唔返唔返學喇? 唔得喎, 我要返學." 好攪笑.
小女得2歲9個月jar.

i like SC so much but my daughter is still only in the waiting list. I have asked the school so many times on the WL status but replied that none of the WL was being accepted this year as all the students have confirmed their seats.Should i try to go for K2 again?

Your daughter is so smart that she can answer the question when she is only around 2yrs old last year when attending the interview.
May I ask if she studying in ENG/PTH class?

that's not the truth as i have given up SC's offer in late March and so did my friend....maybe they accepted more than 600 kids just in case a few of them withdraw from the offer.

Share the same viewpoint. I know some kids also did not take the offer at the end.
I guess St. Cat know the rough percentage of withdrawal based on their past experiences. So they accepted more students, taken the dropout rate into account.

係呀﹐我有個朋友都放棄左St. Cat's acceptance offer 而選擇左一條龍既幼稚園讀上去.....St. Cat 辦學數十年一定有自己既收生system跟住做。 各位父母請隨緣啦 (放心﹐係你既嘢最終都係你架﹗)

佢依家讀英粵班咋, 因佢考o個陣只得1歲11個月, 我唔敢同佢考英普班, 因英普今年全校得4班, 驚佢無咁大機會架麻. 不過報左英普班嘅媽咪又唔駛擔心, 因去年fail左英普都有機會收到英粵班嘅offer.

你係唔係寄平郵呀? 因為太多人同一時間寄, 所以可能平郵需時更加耐, 因為我打過去st cat問, 佢話係以糾到郵件的時間為準, 並唔睇你何時寄架! 下次記住寄掛號呀, 因為會快d同埋可以查到個status, 就算唔得都知咩事丫!
不過仲有好多好學校的, 我見其他mami講如果真係好鍾詫呢間, 今年唔得咪出年再試過囉, 加油呀!
