Does anyone know what happens if the original address proof is lost? Would they not interview the child? And cancel the application?

Do you mean you have submitted the photocopy but now lost the orginal?
Don't worry, they will still interview the applicant.

May be I gave them the original too when I submitted the whole pile. Can't remember at all. Shall I take another one to the interview?

Yes, take another one with you just in case. But I don't think they would have spotted, because they are swamped with many papers..
