I guess there should be 4 classes of K1, 1 local class am, 1 local class pm, 1 international class am and 1 international class pm.

Please correct if I'm wrong.

I have chance to talk with the teacher today.
She said there are only 6 students who is OLD student (student who studied PG last yr) in my daugther's class....

All of the others are new comer to HKPS.....

She said all students in her class (GE class) has been settled and no body cry now.....

I am a bit suprised there are so many new comer in K1....

各位您好!記憶中, 開學第一日所派的通告中寫這費用已包括在書簿費內, 而password老師會再通知家長. 另外有幾個問題想問大家, 本人細女現在讀k1國際班, 根據Teaching schedule, 她應教了幾個中文字, 但這三個星期都唔見她有中文書帶回家, 而且個女在家唱的歌又不是Teaching schedule的歌(可能我是我聽唔明), 請大家分享吓經驗, 另外請問知不知HKPS的中,英,數程度, 幾時開始會學寫字? 幾時開始要默書和默書的量多唔多?能否銜接P1.

我大女在 HKPS 由 playgroup 讀到畢業, 現在P.2, 而細女在 HKPS 讀緊 K1.

具我所知, 今個月一切進度會放慢, 以學生情緒為先.

以我看自己的大女, 我覺得 HKPS 的英文程度高兩級以上, 佢地教 PHONICS 一流, 學生的 reading & spelling 非常好, 而中 / 數程度只是一般, 不過如果將來你打算找 '英數' or 英文小學, HKSP 會有優勢.

至於幾時開始會學寫字, 我記得好似在 k1 下學期, 唔肯定, 亦唔知有無改變.

講到默書, HKPS 從來唔默書, 但大女升上小學唔覺得構成問題 or 不適應.

能否銜接P1, 就要看你選擇那間小學.

wow....I am happy to know their english standard is good...but I am a bit worry if my kid cannot catch up with their stardard...esp writing ....since my girl is small baby who born in DEC....i find she is a bit difficult to control the pen right now....

HKPS 沒有默書和測驗, 如果你擔心, 就自己 '谷' 下, 買D 練習比佢做.

我是完全沒有教大女的, 她上小學默書沒有問題, 但測驗未能熟習模式, 小一上學期有唔合格, 下學期明白了遊戲規則就 OK, 我不太著重小一/ 二的成績, 只想她先適應新環境, 因為她入了一間傳統小學 (LMC), 由 international class 轉去讀傳統小學, 她中文的成績要慢慢追.

大女兒以前也讀GC1 AM class. 她和我都很喜歡歐老師 (讀了4年最鍾意歐老師).

細女 (現在k1, pm) 第一個星期番學, 就收到老師打電話嚟講吓佢在學校的情況. 你無咩?

至於hkps的派位如何 >> 你可在HKPS一入去的那幅牆看到, 我大女那年和我相熟的家長都考入直資 / 私校, 好少和我一樣等派位.

會唔會係去到k1 已不用flash card 呀? 只係 pg 才派呢 ? 同埋我估佢地派果包flash card 都只係比家長同小朋友睇, 佢地就無再在課堂講解, 呢樣係我估係咁.

I was asking for the flash card also because I heard the teacher mentioned the flash cards also.

Last year when my son was in PG, we got the flash card a few days before the parent meeting.

又答番之前關於英文既野先.
囝囝學左phonics,的確好有用,之前我冇特別叫佢默書,但係而家上到小學,溫默書真係好快.
不過當然響幼稚園既時候,係要同佢睇書既,睇果時佢要一路自己拼,熟左先會隨時用到.

囝囝返得都算開心啦,佢地有好多唔同既長,佢就分左做班長,所以咪又要扮乖d囉.個好處就係起碼上堂都唔點講野啦.佢最近先講起,話響幼稚園日日俾人鬧,而家上左小學,冇乜點俾人鬧喎.我解俾佢聽,係佢識得控制,唔再多口,咁咪冇人鬧囉.
佢亦都幾適應啦,功課大部分都可以自己攪掂.不過因為開左學冇耐就停左一個星期課,所以默書都delay晒,咁咪好似完全唔辛苦囉.

pg唔記得幾時開始寫啦,好似係下學期既事啦,係突然有日話要做功課,嚇親我,以前冇架麻.

我住樂基附近囉,其實好近架,以前我都以為好遠.
我地每朝7點05分左右出門口啦,入學校果時都係7點50分左右,有時搭9都到啦.咁既車程,比起有d校車快好多既啦.

I called HKPS and ask where will be the clinic location if I buy the $20 vochure....they said the location is not yet confirmed but one will be in Ma On Shan, One will be in Tai Po...

It seems the location is limited and far away from my home.....

So, I chose to do it in school....however...i am a bit worry about too many kids cry together which will make my girl fear!!

If the clinic is in Ma On Shan and Tai Po, it will be more convenient for me to go back to school. I don't afraid that my son will cry (he never cries when taking injections) but just afraid that he will be too sleepy at that time.

我諗唔同既小朋友,響學校打針,會有唔同既反應囉.
有d會覺得個環境熟,反而唔喊,出去外面就好驚,仲要打針就更驚.
有d就相反,響學校打左針就連學校都唔係好想返啦.

其實都唔係好多小朋友會喊啫(我舊年有幫手,睇足全程).今年應該都會有家長幫手氹小朋友,打完有糖食.引到佢地既注意力,再加埋如果姑娘手勢好,好快就打完.然後佢地就掛住食糖.當然家長攞佢鐘意既野來幫手分散注意力就更好啦.

如果當場真係打唔到,果時先買coupon都應該冇問題既.

Anyone know if the reading execise will stop this week as the school will have birthday party today.

I forgot to put the book in school bag yesterday so there will not be new book for this week??

If there is a party on Fri, teachers will collect books on Wed and read the books with the kids on Thurs.
My girl did bring back 2 new books yesterday.

Next Fri is halloween party but since they still have normal activities so books should be collected on Thurs and re-issued on Fri.:)

to be fair, I think teachers have stuck a note on the reading scheme bag saying that books should be brought back to school everyday.

But don't mind too much la, my boy used to have books changed only every 2 weeks, he read badly in K1

通常我一見到有相,就即刻自己save左先,雖然係細size既,但起碼都唔會冇左呀麻.然後先再慢慢響學校訂囉.

正常來講,有得訂相果時,你會響書包入面收到一張訂相既表格,果時就要上網揀相啦.
