Hi 1C parents,
How are your children doing? My girl is doing okay but I get a bit confused once in a while when packing her school bag. So many books....
Oh, by the way, do you put the outside reading Chin & Eng books in their school bags? My daughter told me to take them out.

This week almost finished.
The eng writting quite strict and need very good eye-sight to spot the discrepancies. My daughter have many circle from her sheet. Before hand in, I already erase her ugly writing and re-write again. But still many circle. So from yesterday homework, i told her must follow exactly what the sample from the heading. But she is ok to correct all. Hope she can get good mark la.

For math homework, not clear. 2days ago, the handbook wrote it do P.1-2, but p.1 is content index. And then I asked my daughter to do P.3, she refuse to do it. Then yesterday she said that Miss Chan asked them to do it on class. And kind of told them miss do the P.3. From yesterday handbook said that do P.4-6, then i called my daughter after school. Then she said that need to do P.7 at school. But I asked her but your handbook said that only do P.4-6. And students do P.7 at home. Then she reply don't know.
How is other 1C student, is your daughter stay clear in the handbook, my daughter write so mess, always miss some words, I just guess jar.

Ok la, my daughter and I did the maths hw incorrectly last time. At first, my daughter did the first 2 pages of revision book, then I felt that it shouldn't be the revision book as those questions were quite difficult. I then asked her to do the Math workbook, but actually should be the Math textbook. So, my daughter did the first 2 pages of Math textbook in class law. OK wor, she didn't complain too much, and Miss Chan did not punish her. I forgot what's written on yesterday handbook, should be something like p4-6 or 7. We only did 1 page about counting number of bees, butterflies and how many flowers that Thomas picks.
English writing is strict. Ho ma farn to check those handwriting in detail. I do not have very good eye sight. It's good that your daughter is willing to correct the handwritten words up to standard. My girl does things according to her mood... ay...

One good thing is my daughter still willing to correct the hand writing. And she also erase by herself which she felt not good tim. Hope she can keep this way. And I scare her that, u cannot miss the HW. You are entered to the famous high standard school. Hope can give her the way to treat all stuffs in searious. Of course, I know Miss Chan would not blame students in the first few months. I just want to train my daughter take searious in school stuff. Try to let her know that she grows up in next stage, not in Kindergaten. I know it tough for her. But no way loo. She is happy in her school life now. But she is not yet know any new frd in her class, still play with her old frd. What is your daughter name, then I ask her (Valerie) to meet your daughter.

我又黎報導! My girl (Vanessa) is doing ok wor, she understands what she has written on her handbook & she can tell me exactly what she has written & she seems to know what homework she needs to complete everyday. One thing which both of us are confused is what to put into her backpack everyday when we need to pack for the next day, really not sure what needs to bring & what need not. If we put everything in, her bag is heavy, not very clear instructions from the teachers especially the English subject.

Hopefully as time goes by, she will know what needs to bring for each subject.

I also agreed that it's really hard to spot the mistake for their handwritting homework, need a magnifying glass in order to spot out those mistakes or a ruler.

But it might be good to be strict at the beginning so that they will pay more attention when completing their homework.

We all need to "add oil"加油呀!! Happy weekend.

She just told me play with Easter (ballet classmate) and Keely (Kidergaten classmate), no new frd, let me ask ask her sin. She cannot stay clear what need to do and what to bring to school in next day.
I asked her must share her snack to others.

May I ask if the 詞語簿, the Math workbook and the GS workbook have been given to the teachers? 'cos I can't find them in Easter's schoolbag.

Sure, but she seems like to play with different girls each day during recess, I think it's hard to find her classmates during recess cos sometimes she goes to toilet during recess & after she came out, she just look for whoever she knows in the covered playground.

I think you can just find the same trial exercise everytime you login.

The math wb is one of the homework for the weekend, so it must be with the students. I think the teachers kept the followings:
- My Pal wb
- GS wb
- 中文詞語簿

Yeah, they are sitting very close. There will not be Eng. dictation as Ms. Siu is now teaching them penmenship, she is really tough, my daughter got lots of circles on her worksheets, really needs to open up our eyes wide in order to spot out those mistakes. 睇到眼都"特"

It's nice to have a specific group for our class. My daughter is called Sammy, whose class no is 6.

She did the hw from 3pm to 9:30pm today as she was absent from school because of fever last Fri. Therefore, she needs to do altogether 11 items of homework today!!! She keeps on complaining that her finger is so painful and it really turns red!

I also agree that Ms Siu is so strict that she corrects many of Sammy's words even for very minor defects (sigh)...

My daughter would share with me something every day after school and I can sense that she likes her school so much.

She told me that she asked one of the helpers which stood in front of the class every time when a lesson ends and before another teacher entered the classroom to mark a classmate's name because she left her seat without permission.

Such a 管家婆 she is.

Yes, Easter got a lot of circles too. These 2 days, I ask her to rub off those which are not the same as the examples and write again. It really wastes a lot of time...
Today, Easter took the PTH worksheet of Vanessa back home. She is such a careless girl. So I ask her to give Vanessa back her worksheet tmr. I'm so sorry...

oh, Valerie forgot to bring her handbook, and duno how to check her hw. Thx God, at lease know one mom from her class. And today no school.
She cried and worry miss chan blame her. Then i told her in this month ok, teacher not blame you, but next month cannot do that, but take and check all books out of the drawer ar.
Yes, every nite re-do the penmenship, take a hour to correct it, keep wrong, poor girl. And she is not familar to use the triangel pencil, cannot write a line straight. But she told me that sit behind her, the girl got the G- ar. Then I use that to encourage her, she also want to get higher mark, so even i earse it many times, she ok to re-write and re-write it.
Who study in KV before, i heard that from KV, their penmenship writting already use Maryknoll style. So those gals will be fine with it. no problems.

My girl is from KV; however, she is not interested in writing. I am mad because I am a Maryknoller with very good handwriting. I remember that I was fond of writing when I was in primary school. How come my girl doesn't like to write beautifully? She doesn't care about the grades and doesn't care how well others do, this is good sometimes but this made my life difficult as I have to find ways to motivate her to improve.

I think I will join but I am not sure if I should register through former student association or through the school as my daughter is in primary school now. The school usually arranges for their pupils to be at the reunion dinner and welcome guests.

How did you do the religious homework with your girls last night? I am not sure if I did it right for my daughter to fill out the missing words of the Our Father Chinese version. If I did it right, I don't understand why the teacher asked the children to fill out the missing words of the prayer. Although not too many blanks, some of the words are not easy. This is not Chinese lesson....

There are quite a lot of homework yesterday, luckily my daughter finish all the homework with the help from her grandmother before I came home!! I think the teacher of the religious study just wanted to make sure our daughter can remember the prayer by heart & know the meaning of the prayer. In fact, my husband & I spend most of the time on her handwritting, just to make sure every single letters are properly written & match the sample. It is really hard to spot out those mistakes circled by Ms. Siu

because i remember in the parents meeting on aug 26. Miss Chan said that the dictation include paragraph + 詞語. yes, poor baby
My daughter usually in her K3, only dictate 2 sentences + 6 詞語 (in both eng & chi)

I'm so sorry, that is my girl Valerie. She want to eat "seaweed" snack, and she forgot to bring her wallet. She eager to eat "seaweed", then she ask your daughter to borrow $2. And also I asked her about "if Easter not give u money, and u are not play with her", then she told me didn't siad that.

I explained to her about the money problems, and cannot borrow money from others. Let me appologize to u here. I'm so sorry my daughter did this thing.
And she will return $2 to Easter next Monday.

Also I told her, when she saw classmate have nice pencil, eraser, etc. cannot ask them to give you. And cannot take it from your classmate.
It was very shock to me.

Don't blame Valerie, its not her...It's the girl sitting next to Easter. She asked Easter to give her $4, and threatened that she will not play with Easter if Easter didn't give her money.
I think its ok to share sth with friends, but its not good to threaten others.
Easter didn't mention Valerie. I know Valerie. I always saw her in the ballet school. She is lovely and pure, so don't blame her la...

I don't think the children need to recite the whole passage of chapter 1 Chinese Book, but I believe that they need to know how to write all the words in the passage.... What a difficult task for me to make sure that my girl remembers the strokes of every word ...... Actually this month is very stressful to me as I need to prepare my girl for piano exam. Eng story book finished early at 11 Sep, but the chinese one take long time to read.

I don't think Easter is the shortest in the class. Valerie said that she is 1st row of the queue in the morning. The other shortest is stand beside her is not Easter wor. haha

me too, my daughter will finish the one she know, and wait for me to help her to finish the rest. So, I asked my helper to force her has afternoon sleep. Then she can extent the sleep time to 10 pm law.
Even she finished all HW before 9pm. But I want to review the book with her or read the story book from school. This week is better then last 2 weeks.

Hi Christine,
My daughter is very stubborn although she doesn't look like one by appearance. She refuses to take afternoon nap. As a matter of fact, she has piano lessons and ballet lessons in the afternoon 2 times a week. Therefore, she doesn't have much time to play and rest. I feel bad and I hope that she would have more free time after she has done with the piano exam next month.

我囡K3 時都遇過類似嘅事件...
有個女同學仔要我囡送禮物俾佢, 先會同我囡玩... 佢地幾個係同一校車站, 個女仔好似個"大家姐"咁仲叫晒所有人都唔好同我囡玩... 除非我囡每次有禮物送俾佢....

又試過搶咗另一個女仔嘅物件, 唔俾返人地... 呃佢媽咪話係人地送俾佢...

Dear all,

As I know, this girl was "trapped" after both side parents' meeting (three times happened and her family took it serious.)
She is growing up in the middle class family and well discipline. She always appreciated from her classmates, teachers and Principal. Even now, she is the monitress in class.
Her father was Psy - Human behaviour, he know what's going on but sometimes keep silient.

God bless this girl and her family!

那小朋友基本上都好乖... 可能佢仲細, 未識分辨事非.
所以我一直都無同佢家長講....

其實大家都係為人父母, 對依類事件當然都會好關心, 好緊張...

My girl said they should colour all the pictures. But if they don't have enough time, they can just colour the people in the pictures.

Yes, my girl told me the same and I helped her with the colouring till late at night. So many pictures to colour! My younger son was so nice that he helped out with some of the colouring too. He attends afternoon class, that's why he can stay up later than his sister. Anyways, my daughter drags him to sleep at the same time with her every night. Ho farn.

My daughter just told me yesterday nite if the class story book with "happy face" sticker. It requires to do the questions from the story record book. Oh too late, use 2 hrs to finish the eng book and do the questions. Chi book finished in earlier day. But need to finish the questions in the recording book. Then all done at 11:30pm. So tired zzzzzzzzzzz

And I asked my helper force her has afternoon sleep law. But if she has ice-skating lesson, cannot have afternoon sleep. Then headache loo.

Yeah, I think there is no Eng. dictation this week as Miss Siu was sick last Friday & she told us in the parent's meeting, she will give us a week notice for the dictation area.

There were quite a lot of homework to do yesterday & my daughter got 2 classroom story books to read & there is a worksheet that she needs to complete after reading the story book & the books needs to be returned on Wed.!!

I can only finish reading the Chinese story book & both of us got very tired after reading half way through the English story book.

I don't even have time to revise the Chinese dictation with her:( . Need to work harder tonight, hopefully she does not have much to do tonight, otherwise.......

Yes, my 2 girls eat at 6:30p.m. every evening even though we are late from work. So they can drink a bottle of milk before they sleep at 9:30p.m.

But Easter cannot sleep so early these 2 days for I have to read 2 story books with her. The English story book is a bit thick and difficult for her. We need to spend quite a long time to finish the book.
