舊年in係individual interview, 一間班房有幾張枱, 每張in一個小朋友+家長. 會問你有無preference揀咩語言interview, 無就學校派比你. 老師會問下小朋友眼耳口鼻起邊咁, 都係一d好簡單既野, 會問家長少少有關小朋友既野.

我早日去交 Form, 發現幾架大校車都巳停在操場, 校車都會在操場掉頭, 小朋友在後面, 都十分危險!

不過, 都巳經去到, 所以都照交 Form, 號碼巳是 3xx 了, 即係第3百幾個? 如果係, 都好難入...

都係架, 我都有同感, 我行出行入無人問的...但你話校巴上落調頭, 呢樣响我係距度讀幼稚園年代都已經係咁, 但D小朋友其實响有蓋個PLAYGROUND度排隊等上車, 一路都有老師在場的, 我覺得OK嘅~

I have the PN interview last year, teacher will ask the child to pick, orange, apple and banana, also, will give a book and a toy to child and see he/she likes books or toy, my girl picked books and then the teacher will ask child to open the book and point a specifc item as told, e.g. socks, boy etc. Teacher will observe how parents guide the child to answer if they are wrong. Also, will ask parent about the living habits during the day and weekend in order to understand how you take care of your childe. The interview is in Catonese. I can say the question is not easy, but the most important is to show a good parent -child relationship, at least he/she follows what you told him/her.

My little girl finally got a PN am class.

I mailed the PN application form on Sept 2 morning and 號碼是 2xx (over 250 la)了.

mickfan - did your little girl speak at that time? When was last year's interview? I am afraid my baby boy won't be able to speak by then...

I also think sometimes if the child answered incorrectly is not that big of deal, how the parents guild their child from the incorrect answer to the correct one is more important...Urrrh....thought they could let you choose preferred language for interview...

it doesn't matter what's the no., my girl is no.5XX last year when applied but then still accepted.

I considered my girl wasn't performing well in the interview as she didn't answered the teacher all the time, haha (she was just about 1.5 yrs old), and the teacher looked so tired and not attentive as well.  It's all by luck, I believe.

I saw some family also submitted a beautiful profile to the teacher, but we just submitted the required documents on the application form.  Finally she did it.

So take it easy!

Started school for a few days, still many kids cried cried cried....

The school bus, I can't deny that there's a risk, but when they got off the school bus, they are taken to the classroom right away in a queue.  Those in the covered playground are parents instead.  Maybe this is the scene for the first few days to school.  Just one point I observed, even they are the care-taker who bring the students to the classroom, even the students have the name card with the class written on it, they still can bring them to the wrong classroom.....

That's amazing. Besides, I wonder if they know the exact no. of students they have to bring to the school bus....

The first 3 days allowed one parent to go with the student in class and it's about 1.5 hours / day, so, only few of them cried but most of them might not know what's going on, haha. The teachers tried to do some classroom activities like making a flag or do some paintings, a snack time, a play area time, an english teacher sang a song or tell a short story. Well, except it's so crowded in a classroom with 39 students, 39 parents and 3 teachers in a classroom in these 3 days, I think everything is normal.

BTW, what do you mean by 'cold turkey'?

After the 3 days, no parent in the classroom, haha, there comes the music time, so many (I think almost 80-90%) babies cried at the same time in the class.

You shall receive an interview card with the no. on it soon, remember when you fill in the form, you have to stick a photo on the last part, that will be cut out and return to you. You have to bring that part when you interview.

That's my aim for my baby to enter a 英普班, to train my baby to listen and speak. My friends' babies speak very well now. I believe it's the golden time for them to learn a language. Usually the class out there only has a Mandarin lesson once/twice a week. But this school, teachers speak Mandarin.

During interview, we choose Cantonese because this is the best language that my baby can express herself.

小朋友一d普通話都吾識入去讀英普班 has no problem at all based on my experience. This is my kid's case and is very common among the KCS students.

For interview, you can choose Cantanese as the interview language. I have chosen this for my kid.

Is the interview only done in Cantonese or Mandarin? Can they also ask questions in English? My kids can't understand Mandarin or Cantonese.

No, you can choose English, then you and your child will be interviewed by the native english speaker.

我都會幫囡囡報KCS的N班....不過現在十四個月大的囡囡唔肯合作地拍一張見得人的申請入學照片啊....無相，所以未交得表...激死!!.....下星期二就deadline喇....
唔知而家排到那個number呢 ?!....

Sorry, I am not aware of too many prenursery with 英普班 on HK Island side, the other one is Victoria loh, but the fee is more expensive woh.......especially if you go up to KG as Victoria cannot use the government coupon. On Kowloon side, I know St Catherine, but it only has KG class, no PN class.

Participate in competion????? for such a small baby. No kidding, it must be crawling competition : ) I only completed the form for my kid for all PN and KG applications. No additional information is added nor profile. No need to be so serious in PN. Calm down. Reserve it for primary school lah.

要睇埋家底 - I agree with this as many famous PN and KG do ask the parents to fill in their occupation.

A few even ask the parents to fill in their primary school. At first, I don't understand why do I need to inform them. But now I know why. If a parent is a graudate of St Paul Co-ed, I think all KG will accept her/his child (unless the child has big problem la) as the child has higher chance of being accepted by St Paul mah, and then the primary allocation result of this KG will be better loh.

No worry, no good family background, no connection, not 教友的人大有人在....you are not alone. Afterall, PN or KG only, no need to be too serious......人生學習的路仍長.........many people not from famous KG, famous school can still have 好成就。

N1無得直升K1, 要再報過....Yes, this is true, but PN students have a much higher chance being accepted by KCS KG, so, no worry.

Do anyone know if there is any nanny bus run through TKO? I an interested in this school, but i also concern about the transport as it is not located close to mtr station. Thanks.

Yes, I know a number of parents living in TKO send their children to study in KCS. I learn the total travelling time is approximately 40 minutes. That nanny bus is operated by outside supplier, not KCS itself. You apply for PN first and learn more details from other TKO parents when you really get the offer.

I just submitted the form this morning. No. is 85X la ... they did not give me any interview time but just mentioned it will be Oct - Nov la. Did they give you?

It's true. They will not give you an interview time. Just a number and when we'll hear from them about the interview arrangement.

我知我班有人坐tko保姆車 (不過唔係學校校巴), 好似$1700/month. 其實有好多保姆車會停係蘇浙附近找客,你可問下.

The school just gave me back a green paper stating my daughter's name and number. The staff said they would contact me in late October for informing me the interview time, approximately in November....

Wow, very expensive!! I know some of the nanny bus from TKO to Causeway/ Wan Chai only charges $ 1100-1300!! What a cost!!
